Up for auction is a 1985 F150 Stepside. The engine does not smoke, does not have blow-by, runs good and the truck drives good. The engine is a 300 cid inline 6 cylinder. The suspension is and steering are tight. The door hinges and latches are tight. The body is in very good shape with one very small door ding in the passenger door and the drivers rear fender (white) needs some minor finish work before painting. The emissions, (smog pump and egr), where disabled after the smog pump seized several years ago. The truck is over 25 years old so emissions testing is not an issue in most areas. If you want to make the emissions work it will need a smog pump at minimum. The interior is all there but the dash and door panels are sun baked. The transmission is a four speed manual. IT IS NOT A GRANNY GEAR FOUR SPEED. This transmission has three forward gears and an overdrive = four gears. This truck runs and drives good as is but needs paint and cleaned up. Both front tires are new. The rear tires have some life left. The will pass inspection now but need replaced in the near future. Other things the truck needs: Fuel gauge sending unit, blinkers repaired, A/C repaired as well as paint and general clean-up. The body on this truck is in very good shape as well as the steering suspension and engine. This truck has been passed around friends and family for the past ten years. The odometer reads just over 67,000 miles. I cannot verify 167,000 or 67,000. What I can verify is that this truck sat most of the last 12 to 15 years.
