Up for sale is my 1986 Isuzu Trooper 4x4, 5 speed manual transmission. This is a retired Randall County Sheriff Department Vehicle from Randall County, Nebraska. We bought it from someone locally here where we live who absolutely neglected the thing, and we got it running, made it ALOT nicer exterior and interior, put awesome rims and tires on, and turned it into my hunting/fishing vehicle. We herculined the bottom exterior black to hopefully prevent future rust, as well as dings from 4 wheelings. We also fabricated and installed a heavy duty grill guard/bumper on the front! The olive green paint is wearing in some spots mainly in the front area around the grill and headlights. I really wanted to cammo paint this and the olive paint was my base color, but now I have to sell it to move. It runs good, dependable for the 2 winters I owned it for starting and getting around in the snow; 4 wheel drive works great. It comes with a locking gas cap that I just paid $15 for. Moving out of state and can't take with me. The pictures pretty much tell it all. There are little odds and ends that don't work on the vehicle (ie the heater works great, the heater lever is missing), I bought it to take me hunting and fishing, not for pretty-I have a new SUV for pretty. There are also some switches and wires that I guess used to be for Sheriff radios or stuff that don't work on anything. Oil change about 300 miles ago. New fuel pump, new spark plugs (NGK), new thermostat, new distributor cap and wires. Upholstery isn't torn, just weathered, so doesn't look bad. Dash isn't pretty, windshield cracked in more than a few spots, but I didn't want to fix when driving on these gravel and dirt roads out here. Leaks a few drops of oil when parked but I haven't had to add any since the oil change, and I check it weekly (I only drive it to and from fishing several miles away and to the store and local errands in the spring and summer). It's just a good old reliable 4x4 that needs a good home where he will be appreciated. These must be hard to come by, because there are no other old ones this body style on ebay auctions right now...and I have been calling all over trying to find some parts and it's been next to impossible.
