THIS CAR HAS THE POTENTIAL TO RUN GREAT.... WHEN THE MISSING FUEL PUMP IS PURCHASED AND INSTALLED. (see engine picture) The pump on the side where the lines come from, and go to the blockIT DOES NOT CURRENTLY HAVE A FUEL INJECTOR PUMP INSTALLED, (see the picture...no fuel injector), So it won't run without it installed. So this car,will be to be fixed on site, towed or shipped out for delivery, because it currently does not run.The body of this car is gorgeous & Black Paint when waxed makes it look real distinguished and prestigious AND once a fuel injector pump is installed, could sell for about $3500.00The Good: A.The Engine is in excellent condition, just needs a fuel injector pump installed. B. The Body is a work of Art, No Rust....front bumper a tad loose, though C. Tires are good, One is Brand New, Brakes Work Great D. A/C runs like a deep freezer, Sun Room Works, Heater and Defrost work E. Radio, Cassette Player, Power Windows, Seats All Work F. Once you install fuel pump, it runs smooth, strong and rides like a dream.The body of this car is especially beautiful when freshly waxed. The Bad: ( Known issues)1. Driver’s seat bottom cushion has a few tears . But I am including black seat covers.2. Front passenger seat has a couple tears in the leather, as well as passenger seat.3. The front bumper is just a tad loose. 4. Stereo volume knob functions inconsistently.5. Clearcoat on 3 of the wheels is worn off, One of the wheels is like brand new6. Some of the bottons are stuck below the surface level of the wood paneling, but work.7. The mileage gauge does not turn as fast as it should and should be replaced. So I am guessing the mileage is somewhere in the $250k range. The clear TEXAS title says 'mileage exempt' 8. The rear view mirror is a different shade of brown, but works perfectly9. Sometimes, but not always, smokes under heavy acceleration, but not consistently. I usually drive it with a “light foot” so it’s not an issue for me most of the time, but it does occasionally smoke black when merging on to the interstate or other heavy throttle situations. 10. Uses a quart of 5-W oil every 3rd tank of fuel or so.11. Has no fuel injector pump, for just about $900.00, but I can get you one here in San Antonio.13. Miscellaneous “dents and dings”, nothing very noticeable or significant.14. The drivers side front door lock has issue (So you can lock it from the drivers side, but unlock thru the passenger side)15. The transmission works, it is just slightly hesitant to shift to second, that's all. It runs real strong through the rest of the gears. I was told by mechanic that lucas oil, or TRANS X K&W Products/16 oz. Trans-X high mileage automatic transmission treatment , could bring correction to that issue. I used Trans X on my Ford and it actually reversed the automatic transmission problems for 6 months. Do not bid if you have a Feedback Score of 0. The actual completely rebuilt fuel injector for this Mercedes I am selling is very heavy, weighs about 9 pounds and is almost a big as a kids size bowling ball. If I did I would sell this car for $3500 to $3800 on ebay, because after installation that is what this car is worth. It runs strong and before the fuel injector was removed , the engine was tuned, and tweaked by a Mercedes Specialist for over $1500.00. I have been doing business on ebay for over a decade with a 100% feedback rating. I wanted to keep this car, but I don't have the $872.00 to buy the fuel injector back from http://mdautomotiveonline.com MD Automotive. And have it installed by mechanic at the quote of about $1500, since I don't have mechanic abilities. This car is a classic and the body is stunningly beautiful. It can easily be converted to run on Grease or Bio Diesel. You can from pictures (I will post more) see that the body of this Collector Mercedes (last year model manufactured in Germany) is in excellent condition. I did not have the opportunity to wax it.
