1966 UNIMOG 406 Up for sale is my 1966 Unimog 406 Diesel monster. This MOG has a 6 cylinder diesel engine with a 6 speed transmission. The first two gears are essentially crawler gears. You can get out and out-walk it when it's in 1st. They have amazing torque and power. These are not high speed vehicles. Anyone who tells you theirs cruises over 50mph must have clocked it falling off a cliff. They make excellent trail rigs. The clearance under this mog is unreal. You can clear a 5gallon bucket at the lowest point. This MOG has an accessory air tank for filling tires etc., after airing down on trails. It has four wheel drive as well as manual four wheel lockers. It also has a rear PTO with pindle style hitch. Recently upgraded this MOG with factory power steering at a cost in parts alone of more than $2k. The bed is a 3-way tipper bed with working hydraulics front and rear and working cylinder. See photos. Tires are 14.5 R20 with around 30% tread. Used tires in good condition are readily available on eBay. Last year we sandblasted the frame sprayed it with Eastwood's Rust Encapsulator and gave it a nice coat of black enamel paint. The cab has also been painted within the last year. The cab and doors do have rust in them, and could use some repair. This is a 1966 truck, not a show truck. If you're looking for perfect, don't buy this truck! It's a great trail rig, or fun truck to drive around town, but not a show piece. Very good mechanical condition, sold as is. It is both titled and licensed in Washington state.
