1971 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. This Cruiser starts and runs great and is a 3 on the tree manual transmission that shifts good. The engine and transmission are strong and reliable and there are many new parts which will be listed below. The frame did have some rust through but has been repaired with 1/4" channel and is solid. The body is solid mounted to the frame. This Cruiser drives down the road great, I drive it weekly during the summer and it's a very fun vehicle to own and drive. There is a two piece bench seat in the front with three lap belts and a rear facing bench seat in the back with two lap belts. I do have all the parts to the hardtop but the fiberglass top lid is cracked and would need repair before the top could be mounted again. I also have the two original rear fold down seat frames. There are many original parts on this Cruiser that are in good condition. Here is a list of particulars: * New clutch * New gas tank * New starter * New plugs, wires, distributor cap * Four new 30-9.50-15 tires * Three new lap belts * New battery * New drivers side mirror * All new brake shoes front and back * New wheel cylinders on the right side * Floor metal has been replaced and is solid * The paint and body are decent but not perfect by any means * Front seats need seat covers * Needs windshield wipers. I have both arms and the motor works, just need blades and the nuts to hold the arms on * Emergency brake is not hooked up. * A couple of cracks in the dash pad, but nothing to serious * The speedometer works, but the odometer doesn't. It shows 89k on it. I am not sure of the total miles also the engine temp gauge doesn't work all the time * The side triangle windows in th doors were loose and they have been siliconed * The windows on both doors roll-up but could use new window guides. Will work as is though * The muffler is fine, but the tail pipe rusted partially out * It does have a rear heater that intact but the fan motor does not run. The front heater works great. Because this vehicle does have a repaired frame, I am selling it "as is" with no warranty, but I want the winning bidder to feel confident they are getting what they expect. I have very honestly described this vehicle, but if the winning bidder comes to drive and inspect the vehicle prior to shipping or picking up and it is not as described in this auction, I will not hold them accountable to complete the sale.
