You are looking at our 1996 Geo Metro LSI 2 door, hatchback with the 3 cylinder motor and 5 speed manual transmission. I purchased this car from a family friend knowing it needed a little work and knowing it would pay for itsself in no time with gas prices going up every day. Since I purchased this car in early January of this year I have installed a new battery, had all new rear brakes (shoes, drums, lines) installed with all new rear wheel bearings. Had a new gas tank installed with new fuel filter, new exhaust system from the catalytic converter back (new mid pipe, tail pipe, and muffler). I had the front end inspected to see if there were any loose tie rod ends or ball joints and then had a 4 wheel alignment done. I had the belt adjusted, changed the oil and filter with mobil 1 oil and purolator filter, installed new plugs (bosch platinum) and new plug wires and last but not least THE CAR JUST PASSED NYS INSPECTION AND IS READY TO ROLL. This metro starts and runs fine, goes down the road straight and shifts fine. The tires are about 50% and hold air with no problems. It has plenty of body rust and it needs a good cleaning, the antenna is broke so radio stations don't come in very good but it has a cd player that seams to work fine. It has A/C but I'm unsure if it works. Its cold outside so I can't tell if this is blowing cold air. The doors all open and close, windows go up and down, seats all adjust the way they should. The car feels nice and stable and holds its line in corners at highway speeds as it should. This cars body is in fair-poor condition but mechanically its solid. If you are looking at this auction then you allready know these cars are getting very very hard to find as the price of gas goes up and up every day. This car will get 50+mpg if you drive it nice and easy, if you drive it harder the mileage will still be around 42-45mpg. It has plenty of power to pass cars on the highway, the brakes are nice and smooth and it feel nice and stable.. This car will save its new owner lots of money on gas and cost of ownership in just a short time. Please look at the pictures and feel free to ask questions before you bid. I would be willing to deliver this car up to 300 miles from my home for $1.65/loaded mile to cover the cost of gas. If you want it shipped you are responsible for setting it all up and paying for all shipping related costs.
