this is a good condition 1991 TSI AWD Talon. i found it in a farmers field a couple of weeks ago and drug it home. put a new fuel pump in it, changed oil and new oil filter, new spark plugs, siphoned out 12 gallons of 6 year old gas, put a battery in it, and hit the go button. the good news is it starts and runs now, shes not perfect, but shes all there and it would make a heck of a car with just a little bit of work. it starts fine and seems to run good, we can cruise it around town when you come to pick it up. if you want to be brave and try to drive it across country i would highly recommend investing in at least 2 tires before you take off. body is good, seems to be rust free, no hail damage or major, dents. the paint is toast though. interior is amazing considering it sat anywhere in kansas for any length of time. the back seats are beautiful with 1 small scratch and one small hole, it doesnt even go all the way through the leather though. the vinyl lower part of the dash has a couple covers starting to peal up, the rest of the dash looks good. carpet has no holes or terrible stains. front floor mats have a hole in the drivers side. front passenger seat is in o.k. shape, creasing and some dark lines, no rips. driver seat has a large chunk missing in the middle of the back area and will need recovered. oil sender is bad, oil gauge normally reads zero but will jump around occasionally, i have verified oil is moving in the engine. fuel sender is bad, but the low fuel light seems to work. the fuel pump was replaced and i thought the sender would be o.k. but it does not seem to have lived through the terrible gas sitting there for so long. fuel filter was also changed. driveline seems to be solid, back passenger side brake is making some noise. brakes and parking brake all work good though. electric locks and windows all work. has stock tape deck with radio, radio will play static but i have not been able to get it to pick up any stations. heater and A/C fan blows air fine. the A/C pump spins when the a/c is turned on but the wir never gets cold. tires have tread but a couple are rotted out, one will only hold air for about a day, 2 hold air, the last one has very slow leak. sorry for the boring information but i wanted to list everything i could think of. i know your all wondering why i am not keeping this, i went to the trouble of dragging it home, about a 6 hour drive round trip. and a lot of work while at the farm to get it and some other stuff onto the trailer. well the short answer is i have 3 dsms, a 3rd gen eclipse, a motorcycle, 2 four wheelers and a house, all in various states of repair, (disrepair if you ask my wife.) too much stuff, not enough room, and rather then try and sale one of the non-running projects that have no value, i figured i would let this one go and hopefully fund the finishing of some of my other projects.
