1961 Nash Metropolitan VIN E75661. Odometer claims 5542 miles. Bought this vehicle in close to running condition almost 10 years ago from an estate that had more than several. Short of a trailered excursion for my daughters high school car show the vehicle has sat in my garage. The vehicle starts and runs fine. The carburetor has been rebuilt and bent back to proper specs. Vehicle converted to negative ground with a Lucas alternator. I will include the original generator if I can find it. Oil filter conversion; will include original cartridge filter parts. Vehicle has new tires that are about ten years old and have maybe five miles of wear on them. Original jack is included. Upholstery is fair. Very little rust. Door seals need help, some new gasket material in the trunk. Water temp and oil pressure gauge added under dash. Under dash ammeter not working as alternator is more than it can handle. Gas tank sealed but really needs replacement. Went through quite a bit of copper plate and solder to keep it from leaking. Fuel level sender unit non functional as only about half of the brass float still exists. Passenger door closes quite well. Driver’s door is another story. I’ve had that door off at least 25 times and actually had it working better than it now is at one time. It closes but has to be slammed quite hard. Door adjustments are just not my specialty. No side view mirrors. New front brake cylinders and hoses, back cylinders were fine. Brakes and clutch systems work fine. Both have DOT 5 silicone fluid in them. Radio makes noise but does not work. Missing left knob. Very little rust. Shifts and runs fine for an older unrestored car. Probably more items I can’t recall right now. Feel free to ask questions if interested.
