1986 Honda 350X

Here is my 1986 Honda 350x. I bought this as the first one of my collection. I bought this off of CL as a basketcase. It certianly was that. I completely dismantled it, the frame was powder coated Honda red, I sand blasted almost every other part. The forks were torn down cleaned and new seals, Honda fork boots, and oil put in, All 3 tires are brand new and the right size and make of OHSTU tires. The rims are the factory Honda rims, very unique to the 86 model. They do have nicks here and there. The front brake was torn apart and new seals were installed. New steering, swingarm, front wheel and rear axle bearings and seals were installed. I took all the tape off the wiring harness, cleaned up any damaged wires cleaned all the terminals and re-taped the harness. All the plastic and rubber parts were cleaned or replaced. New throttle and clutch cables, new front brake master cylinder, new levers, new clutch lever boot, new grips, grip ends, new on/off light switch, front and rear sprockets, chain. I did replace the engine with a very low hour unit, it does not smoke one bit. It pulls like a freight train, the 350X has just nasty power. The rear grab bar and swingarm skid plate were also powder coated gloss black. All lights work, all stickers were replaced and are correct. The rear fender is a OEM unit as is the rear garnish. I have a OEM front fender and another headlight assembly to go with it. The air scoops are Maier. The fuel tank was professionly painted at a local body shop. Parking brake works as do the front and rear brakes. It looks as it did on the showroom floor back in 86. I go to the extreme when I restore these. Must been seen to appreciate. I dont have the title for this one, but do have the tool box, tools service and owners manuals. Has not been ridden other than in my yard for testing. I will add more pictures in a day or so. You dont see many if any 1986 350X's on the east coast in this shape, usually they are beat. I will ship this at the buyers complete expense. Uship is a great way to ship things I have great luck with them. The motor still has the factory painted letters on it. My 350X also has all the very hard to find parts on it. The plastic cover on the steering ends, the Honda emblem on the triple trees, the gas tank heat sheild under the tank.
