Yep, road tested, well over 300k miles, but the darn thing runs like new. The body and paint are pretty beat up, interior is presentable, front tires are very good and rears are ok. This guy is well equipped, and drives very decent for what it is. Whether you want an affordable heavy duty camping van, workhorse, or an over-the road van that gets decent fuel economy, this is a tough rig and a good buy. exterior This van looks like a 359k mile vehicle, no getting around that. At least it's white, which really doesn't show it like other colors. The van has been in Colorado and we don't salt the roads, so there's no rust. The wheels could stand a repaint or perhaps some of THESE covers. The front tires have great tread, rears are decent, should be good for a while. The windshield is fine, no cracks. The bubble top is still in great shape, never beat in or cracked up. It does not leak, nor can you see any daylight through it from inside. The van has wear in several places, left rear upper door, rear bumper is dented, and both rear wheel well areas are chewed up and beat on somewhat. We touched up the paint, came out ok. The cargo door hinges are all tired, but still open and close ok. The front doors open and close easily. The front bumper is newish, grille is cracked up a little but ok, lots of pitting and rock chips on the hood front / lower rockers. The photos document it well. FedEx tends to be pretty picky about their vehicles, and they allowed this, so there's that at least. It's fine for the mileage and fine for the price. interior The cabin is in pretty good shape. It hasn't been smoked in. The upholstery is very good, no rips or burns. There's dusty bits about the inside of the instrument cluster and some of the corners inside. It's seen plenty of dirt roads. The cargo space is well used and seasoned, livable though, and with patience it can probably be cleaned up pretty well. This guy is well equipped, all power, tilt, cruise, cd, etc. As far as I can tell, everything works except the backup camera. It might just need adjusted, I'm not sure. mechanical This rig runs really strong. We sell a lot of Duramaxes and I've had 100k mile trucks that didn't sound as smooth. I didn't get any information about transmission/differential, or otherwise service, but the owner who traded it changed the oil every 3500 miles like clockwork and he knew the 1st owner who did the same. That's definitely been covered. The second owner had the van the last 110k miles and he didn't do anything other than brake jobs, tires, oil, filters, etc. This van drives easy, shift smooth and has very good power. It's just a hair slow switching from drive to reverse and park, but doesn't clunk ever, nor is it slipping, it just has mileage, but should be fine for a long while yet. The undercarriage is damp but not leaving puddles or dripping badly. The brake pad life is fine, belt and hoses look good, really not much to complain about given the mileage. We will have to sell this without warranty, obviously, but our diesel mechanic has looked over it and was quite pleased all things considered.
