For Sale is a beautiful Mercury Cougar XR7 origenally a 289 car with an auto tranny. Currently still has 3 speed auto w/ 302 motor. This car would not take much to get restored or restore yourself! In fact if there are no takers I will restore it myself! Remember Mercury was supposed to be the high end ford model! There were only 27,000+/- made in the first year of these cars.........That's right, 1967 was the very first year of the cougar and nothing got better than the XR7! This is a great car and as far as the color, I just threw some color on it to prevent rust on sanded panels............The car comes with new OEM style carpet with padding and matching new headliner. The only things missing from the car are the center console, battery and belts for the engine. Engine will be shipped in place in the car, but it will be up to you to finish with belts and hoses or maybe you have an old 289 built waiting for the right car. Either way it is a project but well worth the investment. I did black out the background because I figured no one wanted to look at the back of my house! The car in the picture is the car you are bidding on! There are some extras that are included but I don't want to inventory everything. The seats are all there with the rear being in very nice condition, the fronts need new foam kit and uphostery kits to complete. NO RESERVE!!!!! Low STARTING Bid...............
