Up for sale is this fine first generation rust free 1965 Mustang Convertible I am listing for a friend of mine. Raised in California with a DSO code of 71 (Los Angeles) this car has never seen salty back east roads. It is equipped with an Inline 6 cylinder 200 motor, Pony Interior, Automatic Transmission, Center Console and Spinner Hub Caps. You won’t find a more genuine original example Mustang convertible like this one! The car is currently registered and comes with a clear California title. This car is a blast to drive and gets a lot of attention everywhere it goes. You get a lot of rubber necking and jaw dropping with this car. People are always tooting their horns and giving you the thumbs up! With the rising gasoline prices you can't go wrong with a 6 cylinder vs most V8's out there! This car has NO RUST and the floor pans were carefully inspected for any rust before the carpet was laid. Not a hint of rust anywhere!! This is NOT your typical back East car with replaced floor pans. The engine compartment and undercarriage are straight! The original am radio is in place and the radio hole is not butchered like most Mustangs out there. Countless hours and lots of money were spent to get it this nice. Everything was stripped from the car including door handles, bumpers, emblems etc. before being painted with a 2-stage Candy Apple Red DuPont brand paint. A clear coat was added then color sanded and buffed out to a mirror shine. No Chips or Scratches to be found. Both the engine and C4 Transmission run smooth and strong being rebuilt about 20,000 miles ago. The suspension has been recently rebuilt replacing everything needed and is nice and tight. Recent alignment, oil change and tune-up were done. All the lights, horn, and gauges are working properly. The black pony seats and buns are new as well as a new dash pad, kick panels, instrument bezel, door panels, molded carpet, door bumpers, wind lace, rear view mirror, shifter bezel, sun visor brackets door rubbers and trunk seal. Nothing over looked. Front and rear bumpers, tail light bezels, door handles, locks, trunk lock sleeve, antenna, gas cap, and emblems are all brand new! Looking for a classic that will appreciate in value as would a solid car like this? Or maybe a problem free car that you can drive daily and take to car shows? You have found it!
