Vehicle Detail

Offering a 2006 Subaru Legacy GT Spec-B. The Spec –B designation means the car has been endowed with Bilstein shock absorbers, for supreme handling capabilities and includes a number of other exclusive, luxury features, such as: Ventilated, power leather seats for both driver and passenger;Individual driver/passenger climate controls;Dual heated front seats with individual driver/passenger controls;6-disc CD changer;Power sun roof;Integrated navigation system;Steering mounted audio controls;Unique 10-spoke alloy wheels;Z-rated performance tires, etc. This was the first year of the Spec-B model and Subaru only built 500 of them. Each one has a production number plate, located on the console, just under the shifter. As pictured, this is number 489 of 500. The turbocharged boxer engine is extremely smooth and generates 250 hp to all four wheels, with acceleration to 60 mph being factory rated at 5.3 seconds. At purchase, I had the dealership install the optional short shifter. I recently installed a new battery and four new Goodyear Eagle GT tires ($800). These are the correct 215/45 ZR 18 tires and the Eagle GTs have both outstanding grip and deliver quiet highway operation. Mileage on the car is extremely low, currently at 29,980 miles, although it may go up slightly, by time of sale. The low mileage is because I have other vehicles and mostly used this car for commuting to work, each day, until I retired, last year. Now, I rarely drive it. The paint is still in very nice condition, with a couple of minor paint scrapes on the front bumper (pictured). The center of the dash has a large screen navigation and information system. It includes readouts of dual trip odometers, average fuel economy, miles remaining, outside temperature, etceteras. You can set it to remind you of scheduled service/maintenance and other useful functions. There is a small wear spot on the carpet, next to the accelerator pedal, and a little bit of visible wear to the lower bolster, on the driver’s seat, from getting in and out of the car. The only non-scheduled maintenance the car has had was about 3 years ago, when my wife left the sunroof about and inch open. That night, it rained and the floor of the car was soaked. I took it to the Subaru dealership, where they removed the carpets and replaced all wiring connections in the floor. While they were at it, they updated the navigation system software/maps. There has never since been a hint of trouble and I have all receipts. All routine maintenance has been performed, including oil changes every 3,000 miles. The car runs perfectly. In all, this is probably one of the nicest, lowest mileage Spec-B’s you’re likely to find. I invite prospective buyers to view and test drive the car, here in Houston. If you fly into Houston for pickup, I can pick you up at the airport (either Hobby Airport, or Bush Intercontinental Airport). Vehicle is located in the Spring Valley/Spring Branch area, in west Houston. Here are the Customary Disclaimers - This car is sold without a warranty offered, or implied. Financing is up to the Buyer and Seller is not interested in trades, or financing the car. Your bid is a binding contract, so do not bid, unless you intend to buy the car and have cash, or financing arrangements already in place. Transportation of the vehicle is the responsibility of the Buyer. Seller will work with Buyer’s selected carrier to arrange a mutually agreeable pickup date and time. No overseas shipping. No money orders will be accepted. Acceptable payment methods include cash, cashier’s check, or personal check; however, Buyer shall not take possession of the vehicle, or title, until all funds have cleared Seller’s bank. This applies to both cashier’s checks and personal checks. Please do not ask what the reserve price is, or offer to purchase for some random amount. The reserve is set very low, as I do want the car to sell quickly. The car is for sale through local listings, as well, so the auction may be cancelled, if sold locally. However, once the reserve is met, no local sale will be made. All questions invited and answered promptly. On Apr-04-12 at 08:38:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to be clear, in response to questions, the title is free and clear, and in my name.On Apr-04-12 at 10:26:58 PDT, seller added the following information: Pay no attention to the dates on the photos, which would indicate that I took the pictures two years before the car was built. Pictures were taken the day before I posted this listing. Also, I have both remote controls and all three keys for the car. The third key, which is a Valet Key, can be used to start the car, but also to lock out access to the trunk, so those sneaky valets can't get in there and steal all your gold and diamonds.
