This 68 coupe is an outstanding car, it has a little over 52,000 miles and it drives like new. The car has been stored since 1984, It is an original black California license plated car. The following is a partial list of what was done to the car; I have a large file with all receipts for parts and work that was done to the car . I am sure I will leave some things out so please feel free to email or call with any questions. This car starts easy, runs great with plenty of power and gets lots of attention wherever it goes. A very dependable car throughout, I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere with total confidence and pleasure !!! BODY: This car has always been a rust free California car. The whole underside and engine bay was media blasted and then painted with PPG self etch primer and black paint. The body was primed with PPG NCP primer (expensive stuff) and then block sanded to make it laser straight. The car was then painted a beautiful Emerald Green using PPG basecoat/ clearcoat paint and then wet sanded and buffed to a beautiful glass like shine. All new bumpers, rocker panels , drip rails, and all new exterior trim and lights were installed. The rear lights are the Mustang Project LED sequential taillights as used for California Special and Shelby's they cost well over $500 but work great and really show up at night. The body was also treated to the California Special / Shelby style fiberglass trunk lid , fiberglass end caps and side scoops. All new weather stripping and rubber seals were installed throughout the car along with new locks. The hood is the deluxe hood with the turn signal indicators in scoops. ENGINE : The car originally came with a 6 cylinder and automatic engine was replaced with an original 1968 J code 302 engine, well over $2000 has been spent on engine and have receipts , the engine has app. 1000 miles on it now. The following is a list of some of the work and new parts.- Block hot tanked, magged and bored .030 over. - The crank was turned 10/10, the rods were reconditioned and the entire rotating assembly was balanced, then new forged aluminum pistons, rings and bearings were installed. - Heads were hot tanked, magged and a 3 angle street performance valve job was done. Screw in studs were installed along with all valves, new rocker arms and new valve springs ordered to match the Crane cam that is a mild cam designed to provide an extra 30 horsepower whil increasing mileage. The intake is a new Edelbrock intake and it also has a brand new Holley 600 carb. All parts on the engine are new such as oil pump, fuel pump, water pump and alternator, the distributor is rebuilt with the Perktroniks electronic ignition module and high perf. coil. All new hoses and belts were also installed. A set of rare original Shelby GT350 valve covers and a new Cobra air cleaner top off the engine. Radiator was also rebuilt along with new hoses and water pump installed. The power steering pump was rebuilt and all hoses were replaced , there is no slop in the wheel like many old Mustans , it is very tight and precise as a car with low mileage should be. EXHAUST SYSTEM : New ceramic coated headers and a new two and one half inch Flowmaster exhaust system exits out the back through the GT twin exhaust tips to provide a very nice and somewhat aggressive sound for this classic ride. FUEL SYSTEM: New fuel tank and all new fuel lines were installed as well as a brand new Holley 600 cfm carb. TRANSMISSION: The transmission is a 1968 C4 Transmission that was rebuilt with new seals and a Trans-go shift kit installed, the car shifts extremely well.( very nice upgrade). INTERIOR: The interior was COMPLETELY redone.New headliner, seats reupholstered, new carpet and padding, sound deadener installed in the doors, roof and the floor. The door panels, dash pad, guage bezel, door handles and cranks are all new. Also the standard dash lights were upgraded to LED lights so this classic can easily be seen at night. This car also has the rare lower console as well as the rare upper console with map lights. (these are rare options). SOUND SYSTEM; The complete Classic Autosound system was installed which included the AM/FM with mp3 ready deck, dual front door 100 watt speakers, Pioneer 6x9 rear speakers, the Custom Autosound amplfier and twin 10" subwoofers mounted on the custom sound special made panel that mounts cleanly behind the rear seat and sounds AWESOME!!! You can listen to music on your ipod, iphone oe even from a thumb drive if you like. BRAKES; Disk brakes in front, drum in rear. Entire brake system completely redone with a new master cylinder,rebuilt front calipers and rear cylinders, new shoes and pads and new hardware kits and even new rubber hoses all around. SUSPENSION: All new shocks, front shocks are KYB gas adjust while the rear shocks are air shocks to ensure clearance for the wide rear tires, also added was a powder coated heavy duty front sway bar, new V-8 springs, ball joints and outer tie rod ends.
