Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is my '57 GMC Factory 4WD project. I acquired the truck from Omar Lugo in California in 2006 and have been accumulating parts ever since. I had planned on doing a complete frame-off rebuild when I retired, however now a serious health condition has forced me to abandon the project. I have over $20,000 invested in the truck and parts. The truck was not running when I purchased it and appeared not to have run for some time. It has the original 347 Pontiac V-8 engine along with a spare 347 parts engine. The body is in excellent original condition with no rust or bondo. The cab is the Deluxe wide back-glass type. The bed is the extra-long step-side type. Parts included with the sale - Good restorable and correct hood ornament New parking light lenses New Spicer 23 transfer case rebuild kit New correct NOS Sun GMC factory dash tachometer, still in the original factory box New correct NOS Sun EB-9A tach transmitter, still in the original factory box Extra correct NOS Napco front axle - never mounted or turned Five (5) correct 19.5 wheels, already primed and painted, all tabs perfect Five (5) new Cooper C-130 tires Restorable 3/4-ton hubcaps New Napco spindle bushings produced by Pat Wilson New correct NOS exterior cab visor, still in the original factory box Complete correct Power Steering including pump, brackets pulley, and hoses Correct restorable Power Brake hydro-boost unit NOS armrests Correct NOS Warn M-23 locking hubs New Napco front wheel bearings Show-quality rebuilt heater control All original cab chrome Original air cleaner If you are looking for a truck to restore, this is it. GMC was the first to offer a factory 4WD pickup for the '57 model year. My truck has an early serial number of 1686, so it could be one of the first factory units built. Also rare on this truck is the 347 Pontiac engine, along with Power Steering and Power Brakes. With a complete, accurate frame-off rebuild, this truck could be one of the best in existence. I have already done all the hard work of accumulating the super-rare parts, including the NOS factory tach and NOS factory sending unit. All you need to do is take the truck apart and rebuilt it. It should be one-of-a-kind when finished. If the restoration is high quality, the truck could command top bids at Barrett-Jackson. The truck has been stored in my heated warehouse since I acquired it in 2006. There is a lot of stationary equipment and material between it and the warehouse door, and consequently, I have not been able to move that stuff around to take any fresh pictures. The pictures shown here were taken by Omar Lugo in California before I purchased it. You can bid with confidence, please check my feed back. I will be happy to answer any questions at 859-987-9135 or via email - sharecropper@mindspring.com Thanks for looking.
