Vehicle Detail
2002 Mercedes Benz C32 AMG If youre looking at this, then you likely already know all about the C32 AMG and all the cool stuff about it, so I will save the story telling you about how awesome it accelerates with its hand-built 349 horsepower supercharged V6 that feels like a V8, but sips fuel like a V6... How it will do 0-60 in about 5 seconds with 4 passengers!... How it handles in an extremely well balanced manner thanks to the meaty tire sizing, how it stops so well because it has bigger brakes than most super cars of the same year. How the transmission will actually hold a gear for you if it thinks youre on a racetrack or an on ramp and might be getting back on the gas after you turn this curve... How the interior is covered in buttery soft NAPA leather! But if I keep going down this path, I will likely just keep the car, because its pretty impressive. But I digress, you're already looking at it, so you dont need to be told this stuff. Anyways, read on. Trust me, I wouldnt be selling this car if I didnt have to. link to over 150 pictures and 4 videos: http://photobucket.com/C32-AMG-For-Sale This car has been my good weather driver for a few years now, and I have loved every minute of it. It has seen some snow, but not intentionally. I even managed to keep it when we had our first baby a little over a year ago. The baby just had to ride in the other car, but now we have 2 babies and I cant get away with it anymore. Ive seen what happened to the interior of our subaru with just one car seat in it, I cant let that happen to the Mercedes, and there just isnt enough room for this fine piece of German engineering and the neutered minivan I'm going to be forced to buy to replace it in its coveted spot in the garage. Seriously, if you havent driven a C32 AMG, you need to go find a local dealer who has one listed for $16k, drive the piss out of it, then come here and buy mine because its been loved and maintained better. The good: Mechanically Sound and Electrically Perfect. This car has been maintained very aggressively. For a long time I had the enviable combination of a warranty that paid for everything and a friend who was a general manager at the import repair shop. Because of this, the car has no errors or faults, the electronics all work properly, all the under dash stuff works properly. Even the display on the dash doesnt have any dead pixels. The car idles smoothly, drives great and runs like a raped ape when you want it to. Its had Mobil 1 oil changes every 5-6k miles with either Mann or Wic oil filters. It has always had the MB recommended A and B services, and at 105k I replaced all 12 spark plugs and both O2 sensors exactly as recommended by MB. Meticulously Maintained The car has been babied, and lived a loving life and been taken care of by myself as well as its previous owner who handed me dealer repair receipts from his tenure behind the wheel. I do have a master list of every repair that has been done on this car since it had about 40k miles available upon request. Basically every part that is a common problem on these cars has already been addressed by a competent technician with the right tools and electronic scanners who is familiar with the finer points of German cars with hand-built engines. And yes, the battery is a genuine Mercedes battery and is less than 2 years old and this car has never been jumpstarted. Interior has always been maintained clean, and the leather has been conditioned twice a year. Never smoked in. Recently Inspected I recently replaced the front brakes and wheel bearings. When I took it in for a Mercedes specific alignment afterwards, I had the Euro specialist shop do a pre-purchase inspection. A copy of that is included in the pictures and the results back up what I say about the car. No major Mechanical, suspension or Electrical flaws found. They even pulled codes stored in memory... none. Rare Two-Tone Leather This particular C32 AMG has the rare and highly sought after two-tone black and blue Napa Leather interior. (See interior pics) Fully Auto Climate Control This car has the multi-function fully auto climate control, not the crappy one in the base models that some C32's have. All under-dash solenoids were replaced last year (2011), so you wont have that funky bongo's under the dash noise that these cars tend to make when one of those solenoids goes bad. Perfect Set of Options The original owner of this car must have been a genius. It has all the options we love, and none of the BS ones that break. Dual Heated Seats? Yes please... Motorized rear sunshade that likes to break in the middle position? No thanks, Ill pass. A full set of the options list of this particular car is at the bottom of this listing. Original and Unmodified I already have one ridiculous modified car. This Mercedes has stayed untouched aside from the tinted windows, All OEM parts used. No modifications, no cut springs, or hacked up wiring harnesses, or supercharger belts that dont fit right, etc. This cars original engineering integrity has been maintained and because of that, it has been extremely reliable. BEWARE the modified hacked up AMG with cheap shiny wheels and fake carbon fiber overlays... Title is Free and Clear I own this car outright. It has a clean title, I have the title in-hand. No messing around with banks or credit unions waiting for them to release the title, or making payments to multiple parties, etc with this car. As soon as funds clear, the title will be released. Funds clearing means a stack of cash in my hand, or the bank clearing certified funds. That being said, I will not release the car itself until fund have cleared. Contact me if this is an issue for you and we can make sure that there is a branch of your bank here in Indianapolis to help smooth the payment/delivery process along. Recently Detailed and Comes with a full tank of Premium Just saying. Ill throw in a tank of gas and I had a gift cert for a full detailing, so I used that up this week. This car is looking great and ready to rock. Have I mentioned how great these cars are on the highway? They just eat up the miles, with plenty of passing power. :) I will help with shipping arrangements if you want, but I wouldnt pass up the opportunity to drive this car home. And yes, it goes without saying I would trust this car to take me anywhere in the country without any hiccups. The Bad: Rear bumper cover has a crack that is about 3 inches long. This happened a couple of years ago and I never found a body shop I trusted personally to repair it. I was quoted anywhere between $300 on the low end, and $800 on the high end to repair it. The actual incident was reported and is on the carfax report. I have taken several pictures to show it. It is a 3 inch section and is easily repairable with epoxy resin and a bumper respray/paint blend. While I stay on top of chips and such, the car is a driver, so there are some paint chips on the front valence below the bumper. Typical for a car that has a low front bumper and is actually driven. Paint is in great shape in general and has been maintained, but it is not perfect. There are some chips that have been filled in with touch up paint. (Dr Color Chip, which matches perfectly and is a 3 or 4 step process, its like $80 a bottle and I will include the bottle I have with the car.) That being said, I do claybar this car annually, and wax it very regularly, so the paint really is in excellent shape. See the pics for the reflection quality of the paint. I do believe in full disclosure, so there you go. This is probably not even something you would notice on a physical inspection. (no dents, dings or scratches, by the way.) The wife gets pissed cause I always park it in the boonies of the parking lot when we go out. Could use a set of new floormats on the front. I should have listened to my buddy who told me to buy a set of rubber ones when I bought the car, but Im stubborn and those things are ugly. PICTURES AND VIDEOS! I HAVE TAKEN OVER 150 PICTURES IN VERY HIGH RESOLUTION AND 4 VIDEOS OF THE CAR. HERE IS THE LINK TO THOSE PICTURES. IF BY SOME CHANCE THERE IS SOMETHING I HAVENT PICTURED, PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND I WILL UPDATE THE PICTURES. CLICK THE LINK BELOW FOR PICS, OR PATIENTLY WATCH THE ENTIRE SLIDESHOW. Most of these things were done before failures and they are things that would go un-noticed by most drivers. Combine anal-retentive car guy owners with a generous aftermarket warranty and you get excellent repair records and a car that is always in top shape. The Rules:By placing a bid on this auction listing you agree to the following. PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THIS SECTION. I AM AN INDIVIDUAL, NOT A DEALER. THE GOLDEN RULE APPLIES. Your Bid is Binding You are bidding on a purchase agreement, not an agreement to come by and take a look at the car. It costs real money to list a car on ebay, I expect the winning bidder to live up to their side of the agreement. All potential buyers are welcome to take a look at the car and drive it here in Indianapolis (with me riding shotgun of course, and if you abuse my car I will beat the ever living crap out of you.) you are even welcome to pay for a second inspection... BEFORE bidding. Delivery I am willing to help arrange for shipping. I'll even go so far as to hook you up with a guy here who I use to tow my other car to and from the dyno and the track. I am not responsible for shipping the vehicle, nor am I responsible for anything that happens after the vehicle leaves my possession regardless of who is shipping or driving it. I highly recommend driving a car like this home because it is a real blast to drive, but I am willing to help physically with shipping if you need it. I am willing to deliver the car within one to two hour of Indianapolis. Assuming, of course, I can find and arrange for a ride back home. Regardless of delivery method, the car must be paid in full before it leaves my garage, headed in your direction. Point is, Im willing to be helpful, but once its paid for the car is yours. Payment What counts as paid in full? A money order or cashiers check that has cleared. (this can take up to 10 days!) an official check from a bank that has a branch in Indianapolis, as long as they agree to CASH the check or clear it without hold for the same amount as the ending auction price. A stack of cash in my hand for that same amount. Any one of these three conditions will result in the title to this beautiful AMG in your one hand, and two sets of keys in the other. I can accept a personal check, but you will be waiting for it to clear 100% according to my bank before I deliver or allow for delivery of the vehicle. This can take quite a while depending on who you bank with, so I would really rather not do that. This is a NO RESERVE auction, and I have put the starting price at the absolute lowest amount I am willing to take for the car. The car is advertised locally for sale for $14k obo, so I reserve the right to sell locally before the end of the auction should the right buyer show up. If that happens I will cancel the auction immediately. Please understand that if you bid, you are responsible for having the money to buy this car under the conditions set forth in this listing. Completion You won this auction, now what? Well, I will email you pretty much immediately. I expect to hear back from you pretty quickly. If I dont hear back from you within two days (48 hours), I will assume you are an A-hole or you were eaten by a lion and do not want to or cannot continue with the agreement to purchase my car. I will leave you scathing negative feedback. Assuming we make contact with each other within 2 days, all will be good, and hopefully you dont get eaten by a lion at another point in time. That would suck, but atleast you can say you owned an AMG Mercedes at that point, right? Deposit info below. Deposit. $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 3 (business) days of auction end. I dont accept paypal because I believe their policies are insane and bordering on thievery. Plan for this. I will not make exceptions to this unless you have communicated with me before the end of the auction and we have both agreed to different terms.
