NO RUST! If you were to find a similar car this clean and add all the performance parts on your own you would easily be paying twice as much to duplicate it in the state that this car is currently in. In essence, all you need to do is drop in a motor, transmission, & battery and its ready to roll*. This car was completely redone in 2002. Everything has been restored or replaced. The outside of the car was painted in 2001 and the rest of the car restored in 2002. The underneath of the car was sanded, painted, and undercoated. The outside of the car is in great shape, no major dents, some pitted behind rear tires (from sticky drag radials). The interior is in great condition and only the top of the rear seat shows wear (slight sun fading). It has LESS THAN 7,200 miles on it since I bought the car. I bought this car on eBay in 2006 and I had it shipped from Maine to California, where it currently is located and has always been garaged. I have used this Mustang as my company car to showcase products and services for the past 6 years. During that time I have had several power plants in it: a Naturally aspirated high compression 302 with Trick Flow Heads, then a Kenne Bell Supercharged 302 and recently, I just took out a “carbureted ” 351W roller motor. While always backed up by a Lentech Terminator AOD. *Because of the last engine swap, I removed the stock ECU Computer (which I still have and included) and the Main Engine and Injector Harnesses (which I do not have). Therefore, if you want to run a Fuel Injection engine again, you will need to find and install a Main Engine and Injector Harnesses on your own.Chassis, Suspension, Subframe Doors and Fender gaps are in great shape (You can see this in the pictures underneath) The car is straight and shows no signs of ever being in any accident and drives perfect. Again NO RUST! It simply is a clean Mustang. If it wasn’t, I would never have bought it myself in the first place and had it shipped all the way across the nation. I’m very picky about cars. Since having it these past 6 years, the car obviously has had some minor dings, scratches, swirls and chips in the paint from driving and swapping various engines in and out of it, however no major dents. So there is nothing major that you couldn’t live with and to be fair most people would never see anything after a really good professional detailing and wax job. All the glass is nice, but front window has a chip in it. The good thing is that it hasn’t traveled yet into a major crack. (See pic) CARFAX ISSUES: When I bought the car I knew that the car had a rebuilt title. I was told it was because the original 5.0 engine blew up and had to be replaced (Mechanical issue). The repair shop did the work but the owner never paid for the work and a LIEN was put against the Mustang by the Repair Shop. The insurance company wrote the car off because they didn't want to pay the repair bill of the owner. Therefore, a salvaged title was issued. A new owner came along and the title was then upgraded to REBUILT after a new engine was reinstalled and the Mechanic's Lien PAID OFF. The CARFAX confirms this to be true because it says, NO ACCIDENTS !!! The only other minor issues flagged by CARFAX report had to do with ODOMETER and TITLE Registration. Those issues were a long time ago in it's past and are no longer an issue. I have the Pink Slip and it is currently titled and registered in that state of Montana to my company. If you want to know why I’m selling? The reason is simple. I’m building a new car, and that takes money. Plain and simple.
