Vehicle Detail

1969 Chevrolet El Camino Malibu Real SS 396 Automatic. Not a Clone. 396 is long gone. Has a Pontiac engine in it now. I don't know what size it is. Car is originally blue with a white vinyl roof. Yes a white top, not black. Column shift automatic. 12 bolt rear end. Not a posi. Power Disc Brakes. Factory A/C. Power Steering and Tilt Column. Never been wrecked. Brakes do work. Car has been parked for 10 years. Passenger floor behind seat has a rust hole---See picture. Car needs a total restoration. Car doesn't look as good as the pictures show it to be. Glass is good and windows go up and down nicely. Windshield has wiper scratch and sand pits. Everything on the interior is cracked or worn out. Tail gate opens and closes very easy. Car has many little dings. The right 1/4 has a dent and some cracked bondo in it. The lower right lower rear 1/4 has some filler. Not sure if it is from rust or a scrape. There is filler in the lower fenders over some rust. The rear window bottom on the passenger side has some rust pitting and pin holes. Left side is beautiful. No rust in the tail gate, right 1/4 and the doors. Hood is mint. Has the original blue carpet under the aftermarket front carpet. Now for a little history of the car. My grandfather purchased this car new in the Gardena CA area. He passed in 1982 and the car was given to my Uncle. I just got it from him. It is a 1 family owned car since new. Car has been sitting outside here in the California desert since late 80s. My home phone is 760-568-4114 and my email is smachado@dc.rr.com I can send more pictures at your request. Sean On Mar-11-12 at 00:18:05 PST, seller added the following information: There is no rust in the left 1/4. I had stated that there is no rust in the right 1/4. On the right 1/4 in the lower rear part there is some filler. I don't know if it's over rust or a scrap.
