Vehicle Detail

Up for bidding is my 1966 F250 Camper Special. Original 352 2V mated to a Cruise-O-Matic. California desert (Carmichael, Ca) truck all its life until brought to Michigan last year. Overall great condition. Runs, drives, stops great. Manual steering, manual drum brakes, back when a truck was a truck. Dana 4.10 Posi rear end. What attracted me to this truck when I bought it was that it had not been modified and was in largely original condition. Original Springtime Yellow / Wimbledon White paint, (paint faded but really has come back in the areas that I have polished) not original tailgate, but correct for the year and rust free. The body on the truck is incredibly clean with no rust through ever, no bondo, no evidence of past body work, all steel. Any red rust shown is purely surface. You can see from the underbody shots that under the surface you can still see the primer. Hood has some dents but like the rest of the truck is totally rust free. Front end tight, tracks down the road great, General load range "E" tires almost new, brand new brake shoes, mast cyl, rubber hoses, wheel cylinders and converted to DOT 5 silicone fluid. 352 V8 runs good, blows no blue, original oil bath air cleaner, solid dual exhaust dumping in front of rear wheels. Trans fluid cherry red, shifts fine. Interior in overall good shape, has nicely reupholstered front seat, excellent original front floor mat, original black dash pad has some cracks, working AM radio with cool FM converter. Dealer installed aux tank with floor switch. All glass is marked FoMoCo, windshield has small star crack about the size of a dime. Bed straight and rust free, scratched but no major dents as this was used for hauling a in bed camper most of its life. You can see where the camper struts were attached to the front cowl, and where reinforcements were added. Front bumper is tweaked just a bit but grille is nice and straight. Has 15" F100 hubcaps using 16" adaptors. Repo Camper Special inserts included. Currently stored in our pole barn up on my trailer. If you are looking for a show truck, this is not the vehicle for you, but if you are looking for a fantastic turn key driver or the basis for a restoration project that you will not have to spend thousands on rust repair, this is a truck worth considering. Bottom line is I have 3 projects and I can not spend money on all of them so something has to move. Clean Michigan title in my name. I am located in Flat Rock, Mi 15 miles South of Detroit. $500 deposit required within 24 hours of auction close. Be happy to answer any questions you may have, call me on 734-735-2086.
