Vehicle Detail
This is a 1974 Ford Maverick, manual brakes, manual steering, factory V8, manual transmission and front disc brakes. The car was originally a 3-speed on the column. The car is running and driveable. I have owned the car for the last 8 years. The odometer is showing 60,000 miles, this could be 60k or 160k, it seems to me the car is in good enough shape to only have 60k but I can't confirm that. There was very little rust in this car, the torque boxes and floor pans are in great shape, and there was some rust in both rear quarter panels behind the tires. Patch panels have been cut and tacked in. Bodywork has been started but is not complete, there are a few dents still remaining and I have tried to capture these in the pictures. The engine still has a 2-barrel carburetor, but that is something easily changed. There is still some work to be done, but a lot of the major drivetrain work is complete and this will be a great looking car when completed. Below is a list of what has been done: - 73 maverick bumper conversion with correct rear trunk brackets and a re-chromed front bumper, custom front bumper brackets to tuck it close to the body - Grabber hood in great condition, no rust under the front lip as is usual with these hoods. Rear fiberglass Grabber spoiler and end caps - The dashpad is in great shape, there are no cracks - Rebuilt Ford Toploader 4-speed transmission w/ Hurst Competition Plus shifter and Centerforce clutch - Lincoln Versailles disc brake rear end, rebuilt with 3:70 gears, Currie 31 spline rear axles (Currie part # CE-0012) and an Auburn limited slip - 94-04 Mustang Cobra rear disc brake conversion (Currie part # CE-6011BCL) with SSBC Big Bite cross drilled and slotted rotors - Factory front disc brakes - World Products aluminum heads (these were on the car when I bought it) - Hooker 6901 Competition headers, Jet-Hot coated with custom 2.5" dual exhaust, exhaust cutouts, H-Pipe and 40 series Flowmaster mufflers - Boyd Coddington Hot Rod 17X7 w/4" BS front & 18X8 w/ 4.75" BS rear wheels - Toyo Proxes T1S 245-40-17 up front and 255-45-18 out back - The car has been lowered, we cut 1.5 coils out of the front springs and the rear has a 1.5" lowering block between the springs and rear end. - Rear taillights have been converted to 1965 T-Bird taillights with 1964 T-Bird lens bezels. The light buckets were also converted to accept standard 1157 bulbs (I don't recall what they originally accepted but you had to remove the lens to change a bulb, the 1157 will push in from the back side now). - Hotronics LS-6 rear taillight sequencer - Rebuilt driveshaft - New shocks front and rear - Caltrac traction bars - New rear shackles from PST - Maverick Sport mirrors - Grant 14.5" Lemans steering wheel - Maverick deluxe chrome gas cap - New front and rear glass weatherstrip will be included with the car - Front bucket seats out of a 2000 Ford Ranger - Headliner has some tears as can be seen in the pictures and needs to be replaced - The heater core has been replaced Let me know if you have any questions or would like to see a picture of something specific. The car is listed locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Buyer is responsible for vehicle pick up or shipping. Thanks for looking.
