Vehicle Detail
The truck has the GREATEST patina, it would be a shame, and a TON of money, to paint it again. It served us well for the time we had it. Drove it in our wedding, took it to a number of car shows in the area, just used it to putter around, etc. Since owning the truck I've replaced the entire fuel system, putting a spun aluminum tank in the bed, new lines, and an electric pump on a switch. Stock tank is still behind the seat if you want to revert back. I've also run new brake lines, however the brakes will need to be bled up to drive the truck home. The rear taillight harness has also been replaced with new taillights put into the one-off metal housings. From what I can gather, someone got tired of the lights getting knocked off on the farm so they took 2 pieces of metal pipe and made housings to keep them safe. I have a T5 out of an S10 and I have a 6lug open drive rear end to swap in, so you can run the stock wheels. All that is needed is a flywheel and a driveshaft and a little bit of know how. Carb was rebuilt not too long ago. might need some adjusting to get it going again but not full of junk and doesn't need to be rebuilt immediately. Engine is a 235, not the 216 that would have originally been in it. stock 3 speed transmission shifts nice. On Feb-28-12 at 14:49:04 PST, seller added the following information: Some questions have come up: -The is one rust through spot on the passenger cab corner. Could be easily fixed, never bothered me so I didn't worry about it. -I have a Clear New Jersey Title in hand. -The heater is not hooked up, but the unit is still under the dash if you wished to hook it back up. I have not used the windshield wipers as I only drove the truck during clear weather. All of the glass is intact but has some hazing which is typical for it's age. I will revise this as more questions arise. thx On Mar-03-12 at 09:29:40 PST, seller added the following information: some more questions have come up: The truck has been converted to 12 volt. It is now 12V positive ground. The battery is pretty new as well. All of the glass is in tact, although there is some hazing in the lamination. Since it is flat glass, it is easily replaced if you desired. The Frame is solid, no issues there. Most importantly, and my apologies for now posting this originally: This truck is for sale locally, on several forums, and on Craigslist, so I reserve the right to end the auction early if I get a buyer.
