Beautiful Red '53 TD the car was acquired by the current owner in 1983 and the previous owner bought the car in 1967. It is believed there were 2 owners before that. The vin/serial number is 27955 and the engine/plate numbers match (XPAG/TD2/28423) The mileage at time of current owner acquisition 06554, the current mileage 13835, prior mileage is unknown. The car has been kept in a garage since prior to 1967 and perhaps it's entire life. This is not a restored car, but always maintained and cared for. Repainted (red now was black), re-upholstering (tan-biege leather), re-chroming done as needed rubber is in good condition as is the wood framing. There is no rot evident anywhere. New top and tonneau cover in late 70's and great amount of original equipment and accessories: side curtains, jack and jack crank, engine crank, dust cover, copyright 3/56 MG-TD shop manual, miscellaneous bolts/nuts/etc from restoration, cloisonne British flags on bonnet, wire headlight covers. This is not a show car in the trailer queen context, and could use a little under-bonnet detailing and under car detailing to win the top spots at larger shows, some deviation from original colors (grille) and chrome (headlamps) has personalized the car, but these things can be returned to original easily. The tires are older and should be replaced, this can be organized on top of the price paid or taken care of after purchase. The car is very straight and the only known service item remaining is that the horn does not honk. The records of service by current owner (since 1983) are available, recent battery, plugs, tune-up, brake adjustment, muffler repair.The car runs and drives well and is a perfect for local car shows, parades or some leisurely open car touring, really fun to drive.
