I bought this roadster to restore. I've ended up buying a restored one so now this one is for sale. It is a sound car that has been parked in a closed garage for the last 20 or so years. It was last tagged in Alabama in 1991. This car is a rust free car body wise. There is the usual surface rust on the frame and undercarriage, but none of it is rot in any way. This is the desirable low windshield, flat dash model with the toggle switches in the dash. There are the assorted scratches and dings with a dent in the left rear corner. It is minor but still there. I have had this car running by pouring gas in the carbs so I think with minor tinkering it would run easily. It has a new Pertronix ignition and coil on it. I have the complete air cleaner and possibly a new element. It looks like the shifter boot is fairly new. Of course the clutch and brake cylinders will need replacing or rebuilding. It is a complete car with a soft top that appears in pretty good shape. The windshield will need replacing along with all the rubber parts. The rubber seal on the front of the top will need replacing. They are dry rotted. There is an extra set of wheels. This car has the original jack with it. There are two splits in the trunk floor. Those familiar with roadsters know these are the result of the spare tire vibrating on the floor over the years. This is a great car to restore. It is an inexpensive way to get into a roadster that you could drive as you restore. Tires are rollers only. There is quite a bit of pitting in the windshield frame and minor amounts in the grille, headlight surrounds and tail lights. Notice it has the rare fender mirror and the dash mirror is still in place. It has the original keys. Interior is in decent shape. I've only recently registered and tagged this vehicle. I have all the bill of sales and registration papers but the title hasn't come back from the state. This is Mississippi and it usually takes 8 to 10 weeks so if this is a problem DON'T BID. I will get you the title when I get it, that's the best I can do.
