Could be a numbers matching car but no guarantee. The 400 motor, transmission with his-her shifter, and total drive train is there. The engine has not being started in about 5 years or more. Guessing, I would say that it will not run. The frame appears to be very solid with the body having some rust issues. Mainly around the rear windshield and trunk area. I have purchased a rear windshield sub frame that came out off a 66 GTO that is the same sub frame as 67 GTO that is in good shape that goes with the car. Also there are some rust issues around the rear wheels on the quarter panels. I purchased a set of rear quarter panels (skins) that will also go with the car. The trunk pan area was rusted out in places so I removed the complete trunk pan to install a new one but did not ever get around to doing it. I think a new trunk pan runs between $150.00 and $200.00. Do your research. The trunk lid has some rust which can be repaired. The floor pan in the car is in decent shape with very little repair needed. I removed the very nice original bucket seats, original console, original rear seats, instument or guage in dash housing and bought another one (see pics), rear windshield which is in decent shape, gto dash grab handle, radio, old carpet, and etc.(all in storage) that goes with the car except the old carpet that was throwed away. I have 95% of the original parts for the car. Also included is a set of 14 inch pontiac rally wheels (which are on the car) and another set of 15 inch pontiac rally wheels that are in storage. The tires need to be replaced. The car needs a total restoration. I have been total honest about the description, the best I can. If there are any issues I did not mention, it only by mistake. I have a clear North Carolina title that is in my name. I have the car for sale locally so I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time.
