Originally Equipped with the 4.30 Drag Pack and the Shaker Equipped 375 Horsepower Super Cobra Jet 429, this was the Baddest Cobra you could buy. A beautiful car in any color, the Calypso Coral paint really shows off the lines on this car. Originally ordered in Medium Blue Metallic, the repaint in Calypso was done very nicely. The panels are very straight and the lines are crisp. This one will easily hold its own at the weekend cruise-ins and show & shines. The chrome & bright trim are very nice and the car presents very well. The interior was factory ordered in Black Turin Knit Vinyl with bucket seats and a Floor Console. The interior is in very nice condition and the seats have been upholstered in Leather. As with the paint, the interior was done very nicely and presents very well. The 429 Engine has the correct CJ D0OE-R Cylinder Heads, a CJ Intake Manifold and CJ Carburetor. The block is not the original but is a '70 429 Block. The original exhaust manifolds were replaced with 429 Thunderjet manifolds. The engine runs excellent, sounds awesome and pulls like a freight train! The C6 Transmission is not the numbers matching case, but does have the correct cast iron tailshaft, 'R' Servo and speedometer gear reduction box. The original 4.30 gears were removed for a more street friendly gear set. The 'Nodular Case' appears to have the correct date code for the car. The 15" Magnum 500 Wheels are Brand New USA made pieces. The tires are Perfectly Fitted & Brand New BF Goodrich Radial T/A's. Under the hood the front fender aprons and frame rail extensions have been replaced. The front end components line up well.
