Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1979 Fiat X1/9 Bertone edition. The car is very solid couple little spots below rear bumper that are shown in pics. The clearcoat is peeling. There is one hole in floorboard on passenger side of about 6" and 1 half dollar size hole in drivers side. The interior is not in too bad of shape the seats do have tears in them there are a few cracks on dash and the plastic around the column which i have but needs put back on. This car was bought at an estate auction the guy said he drove it all the time but finally parked it. It only has 60k original miles. The starter was messed up so i had it rebuilt so i could hear the motor run before i sold it. And the motor just purrs no ticking or anything, just a good solid motor. The car is not drivable and would need to be towed the clutch master cylinder leaks making the clutch inoperable and one caliper up front is freezing up. These cars are getting somewhat hard to find. I was informed by another gentleman that the wheels and doorpanels are not correct for the year. This was the first year they went to the 5 speed and bigger motor. As always feel free to ask any and all questions no matter how big or small. If you additional pics. just let me know. I have tried to describe the car the best i can and is being sold AS IS. Shipping is up to buyer to make arrangements as this is local pick up only. Thanks all and happy bidding. After some research on this car it seems to be what they call a signature series. There is a plaque on the dash with Nuccio Bertones autograph. The site that talked about this the guy said his 78 was numbered at 1305. I am unaware what the production run was on this. Hope this helps. Thanks Grtdeels.
