petpourri333 Store Selling my low mileage, all original, 1985 Mazda, RX-7, the final year of the first generation of this iconic rotary powered, two seater sports coupe. This 5 speed, standard transmission car has 75,665 miles on it from new (I am the third owner). It has lived in Connecticut from new and has never been winter driven in that time so no exposure to salt, snow and ice. Always garage kept. No visible rust--remarkable, really! The first owner put 32,000 miles on it in two years before trading it in where the second owner bought it from the dealer that sold it initially. The second owner, who I bought it from in June of 2011, added 43,000 miles over 24 years. I have added but 142 miles. The service records show oil and filters were religiously changed with the only major work being the replacement of the clutch master and slave cylinders in 2001. The obvious question is: why am I selling it after buying it 9 months ago and barely driving the car at all? I thought I was done racing formula cars after over 40 years and thought a fun, older sports car would fill the void. Well, I was wrong about being done with Formula Ford racing and the newest Lola project needs a cash infusion so the RX-7 needs to go to a new home. The car is excellent mechanically with original red paint, but honestly, above the beltline, it needs some attention from a competent body shop. A friend of mine is listing this car for me therefore, I am the only one who can answer any questions regarding it.
