Vehicle Detail

See all of the pictures at http://s44.photobucket.com/albums/f26/ccarney69/64SS%20Chevelle%20Vert/ Up for sale is this 1964 Chevelle SS Convertible 4 Speed, originally red exterior with a red/white SS only interior trim tag code 729. This car has its original drive line in place. The red interior parts in the background go with a 65 Impala and not this Chevelle. I have more pictures of this car that you can request. The front passenger fender has been replaced and does not have the SS moulding holes in it. I have the upper belt line trim including the curved rear side pieces. I do not have any of the lower trim. I do not have the trim/chrome above the windshield. The bench seat in the front is not original to the car and someone cut the console in half to accomidate the bench seat. The rear seat is in the car and the rear armrests are in the car. The top is a manual top and is not frozen up, it is in tact completely with the top in very poor shape. The car has the guage package dash and the dash pad is in pretty good shape with just a small crack at a corner of the speaker hole. I have the car for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction. This is a no reserve auction. The car is a project and is an Iowa car so the bottom of the car is rusted. The top of the car (windshield channels etc) is not rusty and is in pretty decent condition. The following pictures are of the numbers that I have for this car. The transmission date is stamped in the last picture in the bottom left corner. The floorpans are shot along with some of the bracing. The frame is rusted through behind the rearend. The trunk pan and both quarters are shot. It needs a good donor car to be saved. Here are some shots from inside the trunck of the car. I have not opened the trunk so pics are from inside the car. Thats all I have. Here's a shot of the engine compartment, this is an L77 283 220 horsepower 4 speed car. If I remember correctly the 327 came out in the Chevelle in mid to late March. So this was the high horsepower Chevelle at that time frame. It is what it is. A car worth restoring but is a major job.
