Vehicle Detail
Up for bid is my 1966 Chevrolet Belair. This car is a really fine example of the 1960's family car. The cars you really saw on the road back then. I have done the following to the Belair. Four new shocks really good ones all heavy duty. The brakes were complety done new brake shoes four new wheel cylinders all new brake lines and rebuilt the master cylinder.A major complete tune up was done new points, spark plugs, distr cap rotor condensor filters and vacuum line.LOF. The rear end fluid was also changed.Radiator was completly flushed and freshly refilled. I replaced the center link with a new center link.I rust proofed the undercarriage. The gears shift just as they should. The clutch is almost new.Car does not smoke or leak oil. Muffler system is good. There are four almost new radial tires on the car.The dog dish hub caps are original and are in just about perfect condition. The trunk is like brand new. The engine is clean and detailed very nicely. The paint is just really nice . you can see yourself in it.I would say it is a show paint job. There are a few blemishes . There is a blemish over the wheel well. It is just the paint not the steel. The glass is perfect. The car is rust free as far as I can tell. It was garaged it's whole life and is now in a heated garage. This car was owned by a very elderly woman who gave it to her grandson. I even have a ton of reciepts that go with the car. She also wrote out instrutions to her grandson on how to care for the car and when to change the oil and winter service it. The car has been well taken care of.I have bought from CARS INC an original style set of pre sewn seat covers that need to be installed. They go with the car.I also have bought a new Dash Pad. That too goes with the car.The Delco push button radio works fine. All the gauges work. The steering wheel had one small wear mark. I touched it up. The wheel is just about perfect. The headliner is in good condition. The side panels on the doors are all excellent. This car has 42,525 original well maintained miles. All the services were always done. This is the reason why it is in such nice condition.I have put a lot of time and money in this car and my reserve is not high. My only reason for selling this car is I have 4 antique cars. My wife says at least one has to go. SOLD AS IS WHERE IS. Please bid to buy. Good luck bidding.
