Vehicle Detail
I have decided to sell my 1957 Victoria 250. Just not enough time in life to restore everything. I have owned this vehicle for a number of years, it has been stored inside all of that time. The photos represent the condition of the car when I purchased it and the car has not been altered since that time. I have never run the car, it has been stored and covered inside. This is a very, very rare automobile, with only 729 Victoria 250's ever built. Only a handful remain and approx. two dozen are known to exist with only a few of those in running condition. The value of a restored Victoria could only be guessed at. I believe that the finest restored Victoria 250 is located in the Microcar Museum belonging to Bruce Weiner (see it at www.microcarmuseum.com). The Victoria is a fiberglass bodied vehicle that was known in Germany as the "one-eighth corvette" when it was built due to it's fiberglass body and only one cylinder engine as compared to the eight cylinder Corvette. This car has the Victoria 2 stroke engine that produces 14 horsepower, and attached to a 4 speed transmission. I believe that the drivetrain is all original. The only missing item that I have seen is a shock absorber(this can be seen in the pictures). Also included in the sale but not pictured is the convertible top and side screens, this also includes the top's frame and the side screen frames. the top material is bad but could be used for a pattern. The car is missing one headlight and ring, I am told though that many different microcars came with the same lights so finding a replacement should not be difficult. The mileage on the odometer show's 33,520km, I am not sure if this is original mileage but based on the overall condition and completeness of the Victoria I would not be surprised. This Victoria is located in Southern New Jersey, I would invite/suggest that any potential buyer come and inspect the vehicle before bidding/buying. It is cuter in person too. There are no warranties on the car and the car is sold with Bill Of Sale only. The car was last a Georgia vehicle so no title was issued. There are many titling agencies that can provide this service. ALSO INCLUDED IN SALE: I also acquired a second Victoria 250 that would be considered a donor car. It has a complete body and frame with wheels on it. No motor or drive train, it does have the body aluminum trim. I bought this for the shock's that were missing from the other Victoria. This is not a rolling chassis but is available to the winning bidder if desired. Please ask any questions you may have before bidding. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements. On Feb-02-12 at 14:40:33 PST, seller added the following information: Several bidders have requested photos of the Spare Victoria 250 that is included in this auction. She ain't pretty but she is a Victoria 250. Since I have exceeded the number of photos that ebay allows I have posted more at; www.photobucket.com/1957victoria
