Vehicle Detail

78 Plymouth Volare Petty Kit Car. 55k original miles. Original 360 with 727 Torqueflite. Sure Grip rear end and rear sway bar. Runs and drives great! Could be daily driver while restoring. Original A43 package. Front Power disc brakes and power steering. Reliable. No leaks! New battery. Holley 4bbl and headers. Body is very solid (southwest car). Very minor rust spots in both far rear quarters which is very repairable. Floorboards and framerails are solid. Trunk has surface minor surface rust only. Body is straight and has never been wrecked. No bondo. Hood has 6-10 hail dimples. Roof has 6 or so hail dimples, but none are very noticeable at all. Previous owner has cut a hole in the hood for a hood scoop. (an A body dual snorkel scoop would look much better). Original decals are still on. The 'Kit Car' hood pins, louvers, flares and window tabs have been taken off during its previous life. The front and rear spoilers are still in place and are in great shape. All glass is perfect. All lights work along with all interior controls (except radio and hood release). Front and rear seats are great (no tears or bad seams). Top of rear seat has some sun fading. Carpet is perfect. Headliner is perfect. Dash is cracked. Aftermarket stereo in dash but inop. (I believe it is not hooked up). Door panels are perfect and uncut. Chrome slotted rims are in great shape. Paint is faded, does does buff and polish to be very presentable. Car is driveable but trailering it is advised if more than a couple hundred miles. The reason I say this is that the tires have 3/4 tread, but have some weathercracks on the sides, so for safetys sake, I am not implying any responsibility if driven from here. Car is near Albuquerque New Mexico. All numbers match and has clear title in my name. I have described this car as completely and honestly as I could, but I know I missed something. If you have any questions, please email back or call Greg at 505-463-5829. This is a great chance to own a rare (1 of 247) MOPAR that is fun to drive and will only increase in value. On Jan-27-12 at 17:15:07 PST, seller added the following information: I HAVE HAD THIS CAR CHECKED OUT, AND THE ENGINE IS NOT ORIGINAL!! IT IS A 340, AND THE REAREND IS AN A BODY 8 3/4 SURE GRIP. i DID NOT MEAN TO MISLEAD ANYONE. THE PREVIOUS OWNER SWORE IT WAS ORIGINAL. IN MY EYES, THESE ARE SERIOUS UPGRADES. A 70 340 IS A BETTER ENGINE, AND THE REAR END IS STRONGER. AGAIN, I APOLOGIZE, BUT I WILL CONTINUE THE AUCTION AS IS. IF ANYONE HAS ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE EMAIL OR CALL. THX, GREG.
