Vehicle Detail
Get a piece of Pontiac history from the good ole days! This classic '79 Trans Am looks sharp and is a blast to cruise around. The Pontiac brand may be gone, but this classic lives on and brings back memories for many who had the pleasure of driving one back in high school. I have owned this T/A since 2004 and hate to see it go, but I have six cars and not enough time/money for all of them. This is a very solid car from the South and is not rusted out like many cars from around here. The T/A is garage-kept and covered year round and is not driven in rain or snow. I have the original buildsheet for the car. The bodywork is all done, the car has fresh cameo white (original color) paint with a new orange/red graphics/decal pack; the car turns heads! The carmine red interior restoration is a work in progress. Many pieces are new, including the headliner, scuff plates, and package tray, etc. The original dash is in nice shape but does have a crack, as is common with these cars. A previous owner installed black seats which are decent, but the fabric is worn. The odometer shows 12K miles, but I do not know if these are original miles. The Trans Am sounds as great as it looks! Attached to the 6.6Litre V8 are Hooker exhaust headers and a newer dual-exhaust system. This Trans Am really is a great car to own; it will not win a concours-d'elegance show, but it is admired everywhere and is available at a reasonable price. Thanks for looking, and good luck with your search! Features: ? 6.6 Litre (403 cubic inch ) V-8 ? Newer Cameo White paint ? New Burnt Orange and Red "Screaming Eagle" Trans Am graphics ? Turbo-Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission, one of GM's most durable transmissions ? QuadraJet four-barrel carburetor ? High-capacity racing radiator ? New Master Cylinder ? Hooker exhaust headers ? Upgraded 2.5" exhaust system (a true dual exhaust that sounds great!) ? Chrome exhaust tips ? Front nose cone restored with NOS front grilles ? Trunk floor, the floor pans and the frame rails are rock solid ? New Pontiac emblem ? Original Rallye II wheels ? Carmine red interior ? New headliner, package tray and scuff plates
