THIRD LISTING>>>NO RESPONSE HIGH BIDDERS, PLEASE DO NOT BID ON MY VEHICLE.THIS IS VERY SIMPLE TO UNDERSTAND>>>>EBAY AUCTIONS COST $$$$$$$$$$$$$ This car has served us well over the past 16 years. It has over 300k miles and still has a strong engine and smooth shifting transmission. Engine does not burn oil. However it need some work. The ECU has gone bad and needs to be replaced. Sometimes it will start and run fine and other times it wont even idle. It breaks my heart to see it go but time to move on. The car needs other misc things as well. Drivers door handle is broken but it works, dashboard lighting is out, interior is showing some wear and tear, antenna doesn't work and one door lock does not work anymore. My brand new $175 Interstate battery from this spring is now dead because the car has been sitting for 6 months. But I jumped it off and it fired up and ran perfect Monday 12/19. Today it would not run. Be prepared to tow The good news about this car is we have taken good care of the car as far as oil changes and maintenance goes. In the past 3 yrs it has had brakes, transmission flush, alternator, timing belt (77k, 160k and 250k), water pump, windshield. In the past year it has had driver window motor, coil, plugs and wires, battery (less than a year old and probably can be replaced under warranty). The car has never been wrecked or painted and it still cleans up well. A/C is freezing cold. When it runs it runs great and will fly! I was still commuting in this car from Dalton to Acworth (62miles one way) everyday when it quit. It has well over 300k but I do not know exactly because dashboard is out. Common as most 1 gen LS owners know. I used my Garmin to figure my speed. We have owned this car since 9/1995. The car had 15k on it when we bought it. Paid $33,500 for it back then. Window sticker was $49k and some change new. Low option car. Sunroof, trunk mat and wheel locks were only options. NO complicated air suspension or trac control!!! I have many service records and paperwork. North Georgia car every mile its been on the road. Not a speck of rust. Even paint chips are rust free!! Car has been sitting for for 6 months outside. Has not been washed cleaned or serviced in a long time so keep that in mind while bidding. It had a pretty fresh oil change before it quit running. Looks pretty good considering! Tires are matching Kumhos but will need replacing soon. People that know these old LS's know they are rated as one of the best used cars ever. They are built to last with proper maintenance. I think I have proven the durability in mine. I bought a new car last year so time to let this old beater go! I feel this car could be a great daily driver for someone who wants to work on it...Maybe a drifting machine??? These 1UZ-FE 32-valve V8 engine are highly sought after and this one still has plenty of life left!!! You can also find ECUs on EbaY for around $300 rebuilt. My Toyota dealer wanted $1500 to do it. This is a hard decision to sell. It will be a sad day to see it go! Just look at the Autocheck above. Its been with us a long time! I have a clear and clean title in my hand. Call or email me 7o6-5o8-3256 Thanks A small portion of this sale is going to St Judes hospital. A charity close to my families heart. I have some video of the car starting and running. I cant get the link to work...I can email it to you if you like Thanks Just go to youtube and search for "300k plus miles" videos of my car starting and running On Jan-22-12 at 18:41:32 PST, seller added the following information: as of 1/20/2012 the car has been running and actually driving perfectly under EXTREME light throttle. If you try to accelerate hard...forget it. It will throw CEL and trip the 'throttle position" code. I think it is code 43. Lexus techies help me out here.. Anyway I would still tow it home unless you are my neighbor. Thanks
