CONDITION REPORT
Purchased by me as part of a five car collection, this incredible 1935 FORD is a steel bodied machine that is ready to be shown, driven, and enjoyed for years to come!
With a proven and reliable powertrain, clean and solid body, and all the comforts you could ask for, this car needs NOTHING but a loving new owner.
The entire car was built in 1993, and then customized, upgraded, reworked, and redefined from 2000 to 2007 by its second owner. I have surmised this from reviewing the 2" thick binder on the car that contains receipts, specifications, prior title copies, cancelled checks, engine machine specs, blueprint documents, and more! It is almost like a Biography of the car in paperwork since it was first turned into a Hot Rod in 1993! Seldom do you get so much information and history on a custom rod!
The finish is in good condition all the way around, with just the light, minor scuffs, stone chips, and blemishes one would expect in a driven street rod that didn't spend its life on a trailer! Nothing to really take away from the overall appeal, but please don't think it is going to be a Ridler contender!
Look closely at the 100 large photos below. I have taken close up shots of every angle on this car, and will gladly take more if you want to see something closer. I value my 100% feedback, and want to make sure you know exactly what you are getting.
The finish is still glossy and bright, and the car catches the sunlight and street light glow with equal beauty!
Keep in mind that I have not detailed the car! A professional exterior buff would make it pop even more, although you can enter it into a local or regional show RIGHT NOW and be proud!
It was stored in a climate controlled garage with its custom fit California Car Cover (included) intact, and that helped kep it so nice looking.
The NEXA Custom color finish on the car is comprised of DMC900, DMC905, and DMC906 to create the screaming yellow finish you see in the 100 large photos below. It is about as close to Corvette Yellow as you can get, if that provides a reference.
A few small stone chips and marks have been professionally touched up in the past, and I have highlighted a couple areas under the hood aprons in the photos below that have the largest marks. Again, this is not anything major, I am simply disclosing the condition instead of the usual Ebay seller refrain of "It's PERFECT"!
The glass on the car is in great condition, and shows no cracks, chips, or damage. It is tinted all the way around, and the windshield has a top strip of tint as well. The windshield has been treated to RAIN-X, as the car does not have wipers.The tint shows some bubbles, and a small tear in a spot, but is quite serviceable as it sits.
The body is all steel, EXCEPT for the fenders and rear lower apron, which are fiberglass, and have been grafted professionally to the car. Fenders even have black welting to separate them from the body. All fiberglass is crack free, and shows very well.
Billet "Dentist" mirrors look great on the car, and the real steel headlamps look fantastic with the chrome trim rings.
Chrome trim pieces on the steel hood and grill look great too!
The door handles have been shaved, and the car is opened via key fob remote, or a hidden switch on the drivers side. There is also a cool hidden override switch in case the battery goes dead! PS, the battery was new in late 2011 according to the receipt book, and it was kept on a battery tender since then!
The car rides on killer looking old school American Racing AR series 3-blade billet aluminum rims that show wonderfully, with no curb damage or issues! The wheels are a detail away from shining like new rims!
Tires have less than 1,500 miles on them (from the Hot Rod Power Tour), and are Uniroyal Tiger Paw's all the way around. Sized P185/65R15 upfront, and P255/60R15 out back.
Overall, the outside of this car is super nice, and it really is ready to enter in a local or regional show RIGHT NOW AS IT SITS! Detailing and fine cleaning will only make it BETTER!
Open the doors, and you see a super sano and clean interior that is ALL DONE! From the custom made headliner to the carpets, the entire inside of the car has been tweaked to make it show ready!
All of the door panels, side trim, and headliner have been custom laser die cut onto backing panels prior to being covered in a rich beige tweed. The fabric is heavy duty, and long wearing, and shows like it was just done!
Everything from the A, B, and C pillars to the kick panels is covered in it, and all of it shows clean and damage free!
The carpeting is heavy grade style that appears to be installed over a layer of padding/DynaMAT to assist in both sound deadening and comfort. It is damage free, and is simply a professional detail away from looking 100%!
Front buckets are reassigned from something, and they both slide fore and aft easily to accomadate a wide range of heights and widths in driver and passenger. Rear seat is a custom fabbed unit, and the upholstery on both shows wonderfully with only the faintest signs of normal wear on the drivers seat. No rips, tears, or seam pull is evident, and you could enter a show and be proud of the interior RIGHT NOW!!! There are a few small stained areas that will no doubt come out when you have the car detailed, and appear to be from spilled beverages. You can see them in the 100 large photos below, and you can tell they are not bad.
A LOKAR styled aluminum handled floor shift comes through the floor with a matching leather boot. It is easy to actuate, and has a push down safety lock.
The show chromed steering column is a tilt unit, and looks fantastic! It has billet arms for tilt mechanism, turn signals, and a matching button for the hazard lights.
It is topped with a Vintage style billet banjo three spoke steering wheel with a leather wrapped rim that looks great on the car, and is in great condition as well!
Billet door handles look great, and compliment the billet LOKAR gas and brake pedals nicely. Chrome power window switches open and close the front two windows with ease.
A prism glass rear view mirror looks nostalgic, and really provides a great rear view!
The original dash has been fit with a full compliment of MALLORY Pro Series gauges including (from left to right):
SPEEDOMETER/ODOMETER
WATER TEMP
OIL PRESSURE
VOLTS
FUEL LEVEL
All of the gauges appear to be correctly calibrated and functioning.
Also on the dash are pull knobs for the headlamps (with floor mounted high beam switch) and aux. electric fan, indicator lights for signals, flashers, and high beams, and a 12V outlet with cigar lighter for good looks! This was a non-smokers car, and therefore has NO ODORS of any kind!
There are two under dash toggles, one for master power, and the other for the dome lamp.
Complimentary colored floor mats have protected the carpet well, but do show a modest amount of wear. Easy enough to replace with custom logo units you can find all over these days!
Inside the glove box you will find a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo connected to the four panel mounted Premier 5.25 round speakers. System sounds great and it functions as it should.
Overall, the entire interior on this car really shows wonderfully, and is just as comfortable to sit in, as it is to WIN shows in!
Mechanically, the car is in fantastic operating condition, and has over 16,000 miles of cruising beneath its belt line to prove it!
A venerable GM 355 powerplant was completely stripped to the block and rebuilt, balanced, and blueprinted with all new goodies! How do I know this? Because the receipts in the build book prove it! There is even a BLUEPRINTED ENGINE RECORD sheet that shows everything about the motor included!
4.031 BORE X 3.480 STROKE, 9.55 TO 1 COMPRESSION, Head and block volumes....EVERYTHING! Plus, there is a separate sheet hightlighting the specs and grind on the SPEEDPRO perfromance cam in the car!
A ROLLMASTER timing chain, Edelbrock PERFORMER series carb and and intake manifold, ARP bolts, and LOKAR throttle cables are just some of the goodies installed, along with a ton of chrome goodies, and billet extras to really dress it up for the ball!
Keep in mind that the engine bay, like the rest of the car, has NOT BEEN DETAILED BY ME! Even a few hours with some Mothers polish and a rag could make this show ready in NO TIME!
The transmission is a completely refurbished GM TH350 automatic that is mated to a 10" GM rear end with a set of medium gears. The car flat gets it when you hit the go pedal, yet still is quite friendly for cruising the highway!

The Slimline Series underdash unit blows ICE COLD, and cools the whole cabin quickly and efficiently.
The car has an electric aux. cooling fan, and it never got over 180 after about 75 miles of Florida driving, so I am sure it will stay cool wherever you are!
There are no signs of any mechanical issues, functional issues, or any driveability issues, and the car realy just wants to cruise all day long!
After driving it in town and on the freeway, I can say that it does everything it should do, and does it very well!
No odd pulling or wander, NO strange noises, NO odd handling traits.... just a simple to drive, easy to steer (thanks to the power steering!), and completely reliable Hot Rod!
All of the lights on the car work as they should as well.
