This listing is for a 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. From what I was told from the previous owner, I would be the third owner. This car is basically unmolested. It was repainted back in the 80's. It has had little use in the last few years. I purchased it with the intent of restoration and just haven't found the time. This car runs and drives. The engine and transmission are original and never rebuilt. IT has a small block 350 with a TH350 transmission. It has bucket seats and center console. Options include power windows, power steering, power brakes and two speed wipers from the factory. It has an aftermarket windshield wiper delay box installed from the 80's. Basically other than that it's bone stock and unmolested. I even found the build sheet under the back seat. What you want to know about the car: The roof is rusted! It has several spots that have rusted through. It's difficult to see in the pictures but it will need alot of work in the roof section. I had intended to restore this car so I would be glad to provide a roof section that I had obtained to the winner if desired. The front carpet section has been removed as water did make it through the roof and wrecked the carpet. The headliner and rear speaker deck material will require replacement as well. Additionally the trunk is becoming soft. The good is that the side panels are seems good. The front fenders, doors and quarter panels that usually rust on Monte Carlo's are good on this car. I recently this past summer installed a set of new BF Goodrich tires. This car is located in Crystal Lake, IL. Inspections are welcome and encouraged. Please make arrangements to pick-up this car within 30 days if paying at time of pick-up. If you need to store this vehicle until spring, I kindly ask that a $500 non-refundable deposit is made within the 30 days. The reminder to be paid by March 31st. Payment arrangements can be discussed in advance of auction end. The car may stay inside until the end of March at no charge. Once again, I'd like to stress that even though this is a running currently licensed vehicle, a full inspection and restoration is strongly recommended. If the vehicle is paid in full, delivery may be possible with a couple of hundred miles. Please make arrangements in advance! Unless other arrangements are made, pick-up is the buyer's responsibility. Please feel free to ask all questions before the end of the auction. Please do not assume anything. I'd much rather you ask!
