Up for auction is this 1997 white Jeep Cherokee Sport with 159,000 miles. For parts or repair. 4.0l engine, 6 cyl., RARE MANUAL TRANSMISSION !!!!!!!, 4WD works fine, engine and tranny work fine. Drives good, steering is straight, all glass is good. salvage title, got totalled on driver side rear corner. Rear quarter panel damage, minor plastic damage, glass is fine, new tail light, tire was not hit, damage from incident is inspectable in VT, not sure on other states. there are dents and scrapes on all sides of this Jeep, rocker panels were cobbed together to be inspectable but are now rusting through even though pictures show no rust, body is junk in my opinion, but one could fix and use for a while. comes with an extra set of rims, tires are an aggressive tread winter tire, good for a few more winters. exhaust manifold has a slight crack and a dent in it, can't notice until you get right up to the manifold (makes no noise) brake lines are starting to rust and should be replaced. hood latch cable is busted but I have a new cable you can install. starter keeps blowing fuses, I disconnected starter and cleaned connections, but problem is still there, probably just needs a new power lead running from the fuse box to the starter, easy fix. rear defroster sometimes works. automatic door locks don't lock all doors with a hit of the switch. interior has scratches, some tears, paint smears here and there, heck it was a painter's work rig. heat barely works, rear wiper works most of the time, sometimes tempermental. passanger window is stuck up (disconnected switch because it goes down, but not up, tried a new motor and realized the problem is just in the wiring) no stereo, and no trailer hitch (though wiring is there and works for both) some rust. rear hatch doesn't open all the time, but I'll show you a trick to make it open every time. all lights work fine. basically a nice Jeep with cosmetic issues, so if you don't care what it looks like, here's a deal for you!!! located in Dorset Vermont, will deliver up to 100 miles for $1 per mile each way from Dorset VT drives good, but needs inspection. oil change every 3000 miles religiously. ac works fine, just needs to be re-charged. exhaust is inspectable, but should be replaced in the next couple years. if you want a pretty Jeep, this is not the one, cosmetic issues, so dont complain about dirt, dents or scrapes. paypal, cash, money order, cashiers check ONLY (no personal checks) sold as is, where is, no warranty. $500.00 deposit due within 24 hours of auction ending, full payment due within 3 days from auction ending.
