I have to say it looks like somebody took what was probably a nice looking Roadster (it was originally light blue) and set out to make it absolutely ugly as possible. As if the burgundy/purple color isn't enough, they painted all the trim black and then "padded" the dash. And the back of the glove compartment is missing to clear a radio, but wait, I'm getting ahead of myself. As you can see by the tag, this has been sitting in a nice dry enclosed garage since at least 1987, a barn find I guess you would call it. It had four flats on it when I found it and about a 100# of dirtdobber nests. There was 23 - 24 years worth of dust accumulation. Having said that, this is a good car. There is some surface rust, primarily on the frame, but that's it. This is basically a rust free, rot free sound body. There will be no body panel replacements, or floor replacements on this one. All the door posts are sound. The doors open and close as they should, and the windows roll up and down as they should. I've included plenty of pictures and I will be glad to take any additional pictures should you need them. I do not have the air cleaner housing for the carbs. I also have the soft top, but really you're buying the frame and bows, the fabric will need replacement. The car rolls freely and shifts into all gears. The brake pedal stops the car. The clutch pedal goes to the floor. It could be as simple as filling and bleeding or it make take a repair/replacement of the master and slave. I hooked a big Optima battery to it and the solenoid does pull in, but it doesn't always make contact. However, when it does the engine turns over freely. I've got a new Pertronix ignition for it but haven't installed. I'm going to do it some time this week and then adjust accordingly. As best I can tell, this is a complete car down to the original keys. It is an Alabama vehicle, so it does not have a title. I will furnish a bill of sale for the car. I also have the bill of sale from previous owner to me. So you will get 2 bills of sale in all. Please check your states requirements before making an offer. The mileage listed is what's showing on the odometer. Since it has set idle for 23 - 24 years, this could be accurate, but I can't guarantee it. I believe this will make a nice little car with some effort. Thanks for looking. Please note!!!! I installed the pertronix ignition today, Sunday, the 15th. I hooked up a temporary gas tank, prime the carbs with gas on on about the 4 or 5th attempt, she fired right off and ran pretty good considering how long it has set. This is one of those good news bad news deals. That was the good news. Now the bad. When I tried to give it some gas after it had been running for a few minutes, it backfired through the carburetors and caught the puddled up gas on the frame and inner and top of the fender on fire. Although it looked pretty bad, it only melted a few wires, those going to the alternator and ones going to the brake master cylinder area. It also blistered the paint on the top of the driver's side fender. I've attached new pictures of the damage. Nothing terminal, but still its there.
