1970 Chevelle convertible(SS clone) BODY- restored in 2000, painted 98 Cobra Laser Red Pearl. Upper part of body repainted 6/08 in Cadillac Charcoal Met. with Laser Red ghost stripes/flames. New springs, hinges, and Goodmark steel hood installed at that time. New 1/4s and fenders were installed in 2000 and rest of car was very solid. New bumpers, grille, headlight rings, door handles, mirrors (all in 6/08) and wheel trim (2000). All weather stripping, seals, and felts are new.Paint is in great shape and shines beautifully.See the videos! INTERIOR-in 08 all new door panels, arm rests, upper covers, window cranks, rear seat cover, seat belts and boot. All PUI components. Front buckets are original and in great shape with new chrome piping and seat release buttons. Dash is great shape with just a small crack in driver’s side corner. New carpet, mats, sound deadener and thermal/sound matting. Custom dash and console painted in metallic charcoal with all Autometer Pro-Comp gauges.Manual top(can be converted back to power) is in great shape with one small nick. AM/FM CD DVD player (7” flip up touch screen)with remote.Pioneer speakers through out. ENGINE- 383 stroker built by Lorenzo’s (Hulmeville, Pa. 215-750-8324) ’86 Corvette LT-1 block, Eagle 4340 forged crank/4340 forged H beam rods, Mahle forged blower pistons, Hellfire rings, ARP rod bolts, ATI big block hub and Super Damper, Comp Cams 280XFI roller cam/lifters. Block is ARP studded and girdled. HEADS - DART PRO 1 Alum., 230 cc runners, 2.08/1.60 SS valves, studded, guide plates, Manley push rods, roller rockers, Comp Cam springs, retainers, etc. All work performed by Lorzenzo’s. INDUCTION- Weiand 6-71 polished blower, TBS raised port intake, boost referenced Holley 600’s with AED metering plates. 38 T upper/34 T lower pulleys, 10.5% underdriven = 9.2 PSI at 6000 rpm. Only around 1000 mi. on motor! IGNITION.- MSD Pro Billet dist (31 degrees locked), 6BTM box, Blaster 2 coil, MSD Start Assist, 8.5 mm MSD wires. EXHAUST- Doug Thorley coated tuned headers (1 ¾” pri./3” outlet),full 3" pipes with X pipe, Pypes Accelerator mufflers with new factory SS tips. Entire system is coated and has SS band clamps. HORSEPOWER-Dyno’ed at 647hp at 6000 RPM /613 ft. lbs at 4700 RPM torque. TRANS.- M21 4 speed built by Garage Motorsports all new components. US Auto Gear HD case, iron mid plate, roller bearing side cover 26 tooth fine spline input/32 tooth output. Only stock piece is tail housing! Hurst Comp Plus shifter, Centerforce DFX clutch/press plate, McCleod billet flywheel, new clutch fork/TO bearing REAR- rebuilt 12 bolt posi with 3.73’s, Hotchkis U/L trailing arms. OTHER STUFF-New fuel tank/pickup, Holley HP150 billet fuel pump, all braided lines and AN fittings, #8 to reg/#6 to carbs. 2 fuel press. gauges- 1 at reg. and 1 in dash (with isolator). Battery in trunk, RobbMC starter, Griffin rad. with dual elec. fans, line locks, new wiper motor, brake lines,power steering and hoses, etc., etc. Basically if it needed replacing it was replaced! Car is fast, never overheats (160-190 all the time) and a blast to drive! Compliments and thumbs up every time. People just love the paint job. Actual mi. unknown,8500 mi. on car since restoration in 2000.I removed the first trans/rear at 6500 mi. and installed the current trans/rear.At around 7500 mi. I installed the current motor. So "Driveline" mileage should read more like: Rear-2100 mi., trans-2100 mi., motor- around 1000 mi. When I put the new motor in I also changed the clutch, pressure plate,t/o bearing and flywheel to handle the additional hp, so the mi. on those items is the same as the motor.Thanks! With that being said,I'm also aware the economy is what it is, and everyone just doesn't have $33,000 laying around. Everyone wants a great deal, and I don't expect to get back every dollar back I put into this car.I'm sure somewhere in there is a price that can be agreed upon. The price is negotiable to a point,but please be serious. If you know anything about what it would cost to build a car like this then you should know what a fair offer would be. Also,if you are looking for 100% nut, bolt,and chalk mark correct perfect SS recreation this obviously isn't the car for you!Those 1970 Chevelle convertibles are in $55k on up section! If you are looking for a 650 HP pump gas classic convt. that can be driven anywhere,here it is! It's comfortable,rides nice,doesn't overheat and runs great! Maintenance on it is new plugs and an oil change every spring(whether it needs it or not). MPG varies on how much you put your foot into it! Just cruise or lay rubber for all 4 gears,your choice! Finally, I am selling the car COMPLETE! I have no desire to pull the "motor or trans,or wheels,etc. etc." . If there anything you would like to change on the car,by all means change it after you buy it and sell off what you remove.
