Currently the 560SL Series falls into three general classes. 1. Museum Pieces which may or may not be drivable due to sitting. I’ve looked at many of these and I’d have to put 10 grand into them to get them to be reliable drivers due to fuel problems, rubber seals and leaks. 2. Well maintained and documented Drivers (Mine) 3. High Mileage and/or poorly maintained (wrecks) There is a second challenge all vintage vehicles face no matter what brand they are, and that is the wear and tear on leather, rubber, plastic and paint. These issues are magnified for southern vehicles, so the care and protected storage this car has received for years is immediately apparent. I took care of every single item either in my shop or at Mercedes of Tampa and I have driven this vehicle back and forth between Tampa and Ohio with zero mechanical issues. I have all of the service records since I purchased the vehicle and that includes being registered in the Mercedes Service Database so these records can be verified. Everything works, and although the car came with a Becker Grand Prix Radio, it was replaced with a Pioneer. I do have the original radio in a box and it will go with the car. This is truly a drive it anywhere car, the paint has a few nicks and chips although I have touched it up thoroughly using Dr. Color Chip and the photos clearly convey how it presents. Also included is the OEM Tool Kit, Car Cover, Wind Screen, Owners Manual, Smart Key and Valet Key, Press Kit (only issued to Dealers by MBZ) As you will see in the Slideshow it also has the hardtop and it goes with the car.
