1959 Ford Galaxie Sunliner Convertible Up for auction is this original (code Y) INCA GOLD 1959 Ford Galaxie Fairline 500 Sunliner Convertible. The Ford has its original tri tone gold, white and black interior. The interior is in very nice shape. This 59 Sunliner has been well cared for since new and has only 39,100 original miles. The Ford lived the first 40 years of its life in California with the original owner. I have complete documentation going back to when the car was sold new. This 1959 Ford Convertible is a very solid car and drives as good as it looks. Options & Equipment / 292 CI (the original) Ford V8 / Dual Exhaust / Wide White Wall Tires from Coker Tire Co. / Power Steering / Air Condition (Under Dash Dealer Installed Ford Unit) / AM Radio / Clock / Foot Control Windshield Wipers (Intermittent) / Cruise O Matic Transmission / Backup Lights Condition Engine The Ford is equipped with its original motor. The motor is very strong and does not burn oil. Transmission Excellent, shifts smooth just as it should. Suspension Very good, the car sits up just as it should and all the linkage and steering parts are in good condition. Exhaust Excellent, exhaust pipes, mufflers, resonators, and tailpipes have been recently replaced. Brakes The brakes have been recently worked on and are in great shape. Tires New Coker 850-14 B F Goodrich with 2 ¼ WW Paint The 59 has had one repaint and the quality is very good. Body The body is in very nice shape, no dents, dings or rust issues. The floors and the trunk pans are clean and solid. Interior Very good, this 59 Ford has its original interior and it looks almost new. Convertible Top Excellent, the top was replaced around 5 Years ago, the top goes up and down just as it should. Ford 59 History The Galaxie name was a mid-year introduction in 1959 and it superseded the Fairlane 500 designation as the top of the line model. That is why the 59 wears both the Galaxie and the Fairlane 500 emblems. This is the only year that the double badging occurred. Summary This 1959 Ford Sunliner has been a wonderful car to own. The low mileage Ford has been well cared for in its life and runs great. It is my opinion that this car would make the drive to where ever you care to take it. I believe the car is very road worthy.
