Up for auction is a rare 1985 Mercedes Benz 300 CD in excellent condition. I listed this car once back in September and am just getting around to re-listing it - now with a lower reserve. This car is priced to go. I need the garage space. 81,000 original miles. I bought it a year or two ago and have only put about 5,000 on it. This Mercedes is in awesome shape for it's age. No rust, originally a southern car. Body is in very nice shape. Interior is excellent. A downside: some window/door seals could be replaced since the originals are a bit cracked (I'm including new left and right door seals which I never got around to putting on). You would want to replace these in order to fully restore the car. The engine is super clean and very strong. It drives nice: tight and smooth and performs best on the highway at 70+. Please note the drive suspension overhaul listed below. Sunroof functions as it should. This car will make a nice addition to someone's collection -- it's very classy, especially with the black exterior and palomino interior. You will get tons of compliments rolling in this Benz. Since I've owned the car it has had good deal of maintenance work done, including: Set of left and right lower ball joints Set of left and right lower guide rod mounts (support joint) Set of left and right lower control arm to frame inner bushings Set of left and right guide rod to lower control arm mount kits Idler arm bushing repair kit New meyle steering shock absorber RIGHT Front Upper Control Arm LEFT Front Upper Control Arm Front Steering Tie Rod Replacement Chassis Driveline bearing Correct bearing carrier (rubber support) Driveline Flex Disks Driver's Window Glass (the old one had some ugly scratches on it) Windshield (I had a shop replace the windshield gasket but they broke the windshield in the process so bought me a new OEM one) Front brakes - changed less than 500 miles ago. Also - all fluids replaced recently. Note: You will notice that there is a year old accident listed on the history report.
