Vehicle Detail
For sale is Grandpa's 1925 Dodge Touring Car (It may be a 1926 but I can't be sure because I don't have the registration with me). I am selling this car for my son who inherited it from Grandpa. Sadly, due to a relocation for his career and lack of storage space my son has reluctantly decided to sell this beautiful inheritance. The Dodge was last started in 2009 and ran well. It is currently in enclosed storage up on blocks in Tucson, Arizona where the environment is absolutely dry. There is a fine layer of dust on the car so it is more presentable than what some of the photos indicate. The overall condition of the car is very good with little if any corrosion. It was restored many years ago and is complete for the exception of a missing windshield fastener which may still turn up and a correct gas tank cap. The interior is very nice with no rips or tears in any of the upholstery. The top is also very nice with no issues. These Dodge's were built like the proverbial tank with heavy frames, thick sheet metal and solid steel wheels, not wooden stage coach wheels as was the norm at the time. Compare this Dodge to other cars of the era and the build quality of the Dodge is superior to many. The body and frame is in great condition with only a slight bump on the left rear fender when Grandma bumped it when parking her car next to it. I would rate the paint as a good 10 footer but not a show condition paint job. The tires are nice whitewalls with very few miles on them. My son would like to see this car go to someone who will lovingly maintain and upgrade this car for future generations to appreciate. You may call (217) 317-1404 or email with your questions. Please bid to win as we have set a reasonable reserve on this auction. Thank you.
