Vehicle Detail
1984 Mercedes Benz 280SEL W126.023 VIN # 126.023.1A.079983 Beautiful All Original Automobile, not avaliable in US. Was personally imported by original owner. Bidding Starts at $100 with NO RESERVE You are viewing an all original 1984 Mercedes Benz 280SEL W126.023 This 280SEL was imported by original owner & was very well maintained for the past 28 years. Only 20,655 of these classic Mercedes Benz were produced between the years 1980-1985 and only 4,598 in 1984. However these were not avaliable in the US. This 280SEL is all original, not by any means perfect. However, she is Extremely Straight & Runs Strong & shifts extremely smooth. I've never seen another 280SEL in the US, however I'm sure they do exist. Just very unique. I'm a Mercedes Benz Fan (80's models) & I currently have five. However, this is my only W126. All others are W123 models. This car is mechanically in great condition. Very smooth shifting & plenty of power. The Exterior body has minor Dings, scratches, pealed clear coat, though is all original paint. The interior shows use for sure. The leather has some tears & worn areas. The back seat still reclines, however the front passenger seat & window do not move, nor does the radio turn on. All other windows work fine. The mileage stopped at 168,000 & I am not sure exactly when. Mechanically she purs & has been properly kept. I was told when I purchased that the sun roof opens, but must be manually closed. So I never bothered trying. The AC is updated & gets cold & the heat gets hot. This is a Texas Car, with a clear Texas Title. I purchased this car out of absolute LOVE for Mercedes Benz, however I am a W123 collector & want to get this to a proper W126 collector. She genuinly deserves to be in the right loving hands. I've taken a lot of pictures & will have a video on YouTube to try & show much more detail. http://youtu.be/bbwKQuemuhY I will Happily Deliver this Mercedes Benz to you Anywhere in the US (48) states. I don't mind one good last roadtrip in her! The Price will be based from milage according to Mapquest door to door directions. (Starting in Belton, Texas 76513) The Delivery Fee is $489 for the first 200 miles & $0.85 each additional mile. Yes, I have that much faith in this car! Corey On Jan-05-12 at 11:41:54 PST, seller added the following information:*******UPDATE******* I recieved a phone call yesterday with a interested buyer & his question was: Did this Mercedes belong to Carol Burnett? I must say he threw me for a loop & really got my curiosity wheels turning. The car was imported as the MB ID tag states by: C. C. Burnett. Where her full name is: Carol Creighton Burnett. This car was made to be escorted around in & originally had a sticker price of $52,925.00 while being Import Only. All that said & done, I'd say there are good chance it very well may have once belonged to Carol Burnett. I just don't know for sure, nor do I know how to document it. It is still a mystery, but I figure somebody out there may know how to research the original buyer. Thanks for the questions & please feel free to call or email any others! Corey 972.765.2232
