Vehicle Detail
This traffic stopping Triumph custom was built by TT Cycles in New Jersey. The bike was built two years ago and has only logged around 300 miles since completion. The bike is a matching numbers 1970 Daytona, 500cc. There are lots of one off, hand made pieces on this bike! The bike started off as a low mileage bike that sat in a garage for years. The motor was gone over, the only thing needing attention was the top end. Everything that needed repairing was repaired. Anything that needed replacing was replaced. Only the best quality parts, UK made, were used. As with all of TT Cycles work, they try to stay away from Pacific Rim parts wherever possible. Carbs are rebuilt. All engine covers are nicely polished. Wheels are all rebuilt, 19" front, UK chrome rim with Buchanens Stainless spokes, Avon Speedmaster tire. !6" rear wheel, HD style rim, Buchanenes stainless spokes, Shinko Speed Grip style tire. Front end is rebuilt, new UK made fork tubes, fork seal holders, fork seals, gaiters, bushings, stainless top tube nuts and a stainless fork stem nut. All the other new parts used on this bike include: TT Cycles custom forward controls, levers, throttle, all cables, brakes (Ferodo, not Emgo), UK made high pipes with brass tips and custom made heat shields, finned exhaust clips, points cover, stainless allen cover screws, oil tank cap, petcock, gas cap, fuel filter, ignition switch and mount tab, brake light switch, plug wires, seat springs, custom made leather solo seat, Bates style headlight and mount, custom made battery box and battery, kickstand spring, kickstart lever and pedal rubber, axle adjusters, K&N breather filter, drive chain (correct narrow British style), brass patent plate, Boyer electronic ignition, Tympanium regultor, 6 volt coils, Timken tapered bearing conversion for the steering head and of course, all new wiring on the bike, neat and tidy...I'm sure there are other things I'm forgetting.... The bike is painted with DuPont Hot Hues Hot Rod Black. This a satin black. The paint is urethane and is not damaged by gas spills. The graphics and pinstriping were all done by the great GW Ross. This bike also features some tasteful brass plating. The oil tank, handle bar risers, custom made fender struts, headlight trim ring, brake stay and seat springs are all brass plated. The brass plating is laquered to prevent tarnishing. As you can see, no expense was spared on this bike! The bike runs great and is a blast to ride. It is not cramped, the forward controls and drag bars put you in a comfortable riding position. If you have any particular questions about the bike, feel free to call TT Cycles at 908-464-2288. The guys there will be more than happy to answer any and all.... Payment in the form of wire transfer or cash upon pickup, due within five days of auctions end. Buyer is responsible for all shipping, arrangements and fees. For any European bidders, extremely reasonable shipping to Thamesport and Rotterdam is available! Please, no zero feedback bidders. I have described this bike to the best of my ability, however, it is sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied.
