You are bidding on a 1966 Mustang Coupe. Black Plate Southern California Car its entire life. I purchased this car from the original owner, my friends grandmother, It was her first car and grocery getter and sat in front of her house for years until personal problems forced her to sell it. I decided to purchase and restore it and use as a daily driver when I returned home from Iraq. This is a true California car. All mechanical work was done by a professional Mustang only mechanic at Mustang Country in Paramount. I dropped a lot of money into this car to make it comfortable, look good, and be reliable and trustworthy on long road trips.I could not possibly list all the new parts and upgrades, but will do my best to list the main things I remember. It has brand new rims and tires, slightly larger tires in the rear for a more aggressive look. The suspension has been redone, and new thicker front and rear sway bars were added. The interior was completely redone, and I opted for a more costly thicker, more comfortable foam. The seat rail was customized so that it can move forward as far as original, or all the way back to the rear seat for a taller driver. This along with a slightly smaller steering wheel makes it easy to slip in and out, and drive comfortably (I am 6'3). All the gauges and electrical work properly. Dynomat was placed on the entire floor under the carpet and in the floor of the trunk to reduce road noise. When it was repainted, all rubber was replaced in the car, all chrome was replaced, ect, everything in and on this car looks beautiful and is leak free! The car was upgraded with new: Power Disc Brakes, Power steering, and Air Conditioning (Vintage look). A new digital (Vintage look) stereo was installed, along with new front and rear speakers and you CAN hook up to your IPOD in the glove box! The car runs, drives, and shifts smoothly with a nice V8 rumble. The suspension is nice and tight. It stops great for such a heavy car. It does not run hot! The radiator and alternator were replaced with high performance versions. It has a high performance Carb that was recently re-jetted. The electrical was gone through to ensure all lights function properly and there are no drains - the battery is an Optima. The car has a new alarm equipped with a small pager on your key ring that lets you know when it has been set off. It has a kill switch wired in. It has a special hood lock that is operated from inside the car. You may ask, why am I selling the car I spent so much time and effort building? Well I returned home from Iraq with a dependent parent and house payments, something I never anticipated. So my car free days of cruising are over, and this car will see little to no use sitting in my driveway -I would hate to see it wasted. I did everything with an eye to try and keep it looking as vintage as possible but still be able to enjoy a few modern comforts. There is nothing left to do but to just get in, drive it and have fun!
