1961 RED CHEVROLET APACHE 10 1/2 TON STEP SIDE TRUCK This truck is in good running condition and looks pretty decent for its age. It is a manual 3 speed stick transmission with an extra "Granny Gear" for towing or pulling and of course Reverse. It has an 8 cylinder engine and has 20,823 miles on a re-built motor. The original miles is not possible to say due to the fact that the gauge has turned over. The body is in good shape for its age with some small areas of rust and paint peeling and of course many scratches that come with age and use. The inside is all original to the truck with no tears to the seats that I could find. I know there are a couple of things that are NOT working on this truck...The headlights do NOT work and the radio does NOT work. I was told that all the gauges on the dashboard work. (gas gauge, oil pressure, gasoline etc.) He also has an Amp meter down lower on the left side of the steering wheel and that also works fine. The current owner has had this truck for approx. 30 yrs and he bought it in California from another private seller. This has not been driven on a regular basis (highway) since 1992 but has been continually started and driven around his property since that time to keep it running.
