For sale 1965R-60/2 original no. matching with 38000 original mi. I have owned it since 1978, and am 3rd owner, 2nd owner bought it from a BMW mechanic in 1967 with 6000mi. I have owned and ridden this bike less than 9000mi. since 1978,and as the 2nd owners log book reflects oil was changed at 1500 mi.intervals or less.When I bought the bike in 1978 at 30000mi. I did a complete top-end job 1st.-over pistons new valves ect.The bike has original frame mounted tire pump that still works,original toolkit,even the BMW shop towel that was wrapped around the toolkit.It does have the frame mount for a sidecar.I have all keys for gas cap,fork lock,ignition, and owners manual.Bike comes with Buco saddlebags,and a BML fairing.This bike has not been plated or ridden since 1996,when Idrained the tank and carbs and preserved the cylinders.Two weeks ago I put on new fuel lines and fuel filters and fresh oil. This bike started and ran perfect on the 2nd. kick No leaks all gears and brakes work as they should. This is a unmolested,unrestored, original finish bike there are a few minor dings and scratches and some of the chrome is pitted and flaking esp. the front rim. But looks good overall as you would expect from a 46yr.old unrestored bike.This bike has been owned and maintained by three BMW lovers who have never abused or neglected this BMW.I have come to realize that I wont be ridding anymore,and this bike deserves to be ridden and appreciated by a new owner.Old bikes can be restored many times but can be original only once. This is a solid very good running bike!!
