Hi, I am selling my 1986 Honda Fourtrax TRX 70. I have owned this for 6-7 years. Since it hardly gets any use and is taking up space in the garage I have decided to sell it. It starts and runs well and engine does not smoke. First the good: Plastics are in good shape considering the age. Engine starts and runs well. Rear brakes work. Tires are in good shape and may even be original. Seat looks good with the exception of some marks on the left side from the pull start rope. I replaced the stock metal gas tank about 6 years ago with a plastic tank (Original tank had some rust on the inside). I installed a brand new Honda carburetor around the same time. Still has the tool kit under the back fender and the key for the steering lock. Now for the bad: Front brake lever is removed(I seem to remember that the cables were tight and the brakes would drag after being applied) I still have the lever. The rear alone seem more than sufficient to me. The handle bar center cover/pad is missing. The rear grab bar is missing. Wheels were painted black by previous owner. One of the engine cooling fins is broken off the cylinder head just below the sparkplug. The drive chain tensioner makes some noise, mostly on deceleration. The rubber coating on the tensioner roller bearing has deteriorated and come off. It still functions fine but is just a little noisy. Overall not a bad little machine considering it is 25 years old.
