I have a 1948 Desoto up for sale. I do not know that much about cars but tell you everything I can about the car. This is a deluxe coupe. Body is in excellent shape. paint is starting to bubble in some spots but all the metal is solid with no holes interior is all original. the engine is not the original I have been told is a 318 milage is unknown the genleman I bought this from believes there was 70,000 on it The transmission is an automatic on the floor there are galsspacks on the exhaust so it has a rumble to it. I have taken the car on drives this is what I notice. Runs great. I think the brakes need to be bled and could use a tune up im sure. but iI am not afraid to drive at all. no power steering or brakes. gas tank was replaced and now is filled in the trunk. tank is still mounted under the car. the only reason I would not drive this far is that the tires are bald.
