I am relisting the car because the replacement title came in the mail. The 1989 Ford Mustang 5.0 LX with Automatic Transmission starts at $750.00 to gain interest. The automatic listing for this VIN from eBay lists it as a manual but it is an automatic transmission. My fathers car that he bought new. I am the second owner and have had the car for about 4 years now. It was his and is my daily driver. Original paint, never was spot painted. What you see is what there is. No hidden bodywork. Original motor and transmission. Motor runs good and I have CA Smog certificate in hand for you California buyers. Just go to the DMV and put it in your name. Registration is good to July 2012. The motor does have a rear oil leak. It is ok on flat ground but comes out facing uphill. The trans is original and has never been rebuilt. About 6 years ago it stopped going into fourth gear (overdrive) but I don't go on the freeway to go to work and back so the motor never goes over 2500 rpm. She will roar if needed but it has been babied. The interior is in decent condition for its age. No tears in the cloth seats but some cracks in the vinyl on the side of the drivers seat. The AC does not work anymore. The window fogs up when you use the defrost but it has done this for years without the heater core dripping. The electric windows work but the electric door lock on the drivers door does not. Dash is in good condition. There is the various scratches etc on the interior but the car is no rattle trap. It has a couple of little rust spots in the usual places these cars are known for on the exterior. See pictures. There are two dents, one by the gas filler door and one on the lower passenger door that most people don't seem to notice. There are a few dings from cars and a couple from pine cones etc. It has always been outside so the color is fading and starting to deteriorate. The car was always watched to give it what it needed to keep on going and that is what it has done so well for us. I can keep the car here for you to arrange pick up, please contact me in advance.
